I went through a different clinic and doctor for my first pregnancy and developed severe preeclampsia and HELLP. The doctors at the other clinic didn’t listen to my symptoms and told me I was just “uncomfortable and that’s what prShow moreegnancy is.” My twins were born at 32 weeks and stayed in the NICU for almost 6 weeks. It was awful. This entire pregnancy Dr. Melicher has been cautious and very thorough to make sure myself and baby are in good health. My experience this time around was night and day difference and I wish I had found her sooner! I ended up delivering a healthy baby girl 4 hours before my scheduled c-section. I was sad to not have Dr. Melicher deliver, but Dr. Hansen was great and I’m still really happy with my experience this time around.

Anna Melicher, MD, OB/GYN, hails from Fargo, North Dakota, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Zoology from North Dakota State University (NDSU) before earning her medical degree from University of North Dakota (UNDSMHS) in Grand Forks, North Dakota.
Dr. Melicher moved to Utah amidst the covid-19 pandemic to complete residency training at the University of Utah. She was accompanied by her husband, two horses and two dogs, and has since added three rabbits to the household. During her residency she was trained on the da Vinci robot (The da Vinci Surgical System), a form of robotic surgery. She is passionate about utilizing both her surgical gynecology and obstetric skills in order to improve the lives of her patients.
She loves helping patients and working with the team at South Valley Women’s Health Care. In her free time, she is an avid climber, horseback rider, hiker, and enjoys exploring all of what the great state of Utah has to offer. At home she enjoys gardening, workouts, and spending time with her pets, who are mostly rescues.

I have found a fantastic doctor. She is so kind, knowledgeable, personable and caring. She makes you feel comfortable and like you've been her friend forever. Besides that she's a smart and wonderful doctor. Her assistant is exceptional as well. A+ to this office.
