Dr. Asma Rashid, MD

Dr. Rashid is a Harvard-trained, board-certified, child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist. After graduating from King Edward Medical University, she joined the Harvard School of Public Health to get her master’s in public health. She did her adult psychiatry training at the University of Connecticut and child & adolescent fellowship with Harvard University at Boston Children’s Hospital. She later joined the faculty at Boston University/Boston Medical Center as a clinical assistant professor, providing clinical care to diverse patient populations and also supporting clinical teaching and training of medical students and psychiatry residents. She later joined advanced psychoanalytic therapy training from Boston Psychoanalytic Society and utilizes psychoanalytical therapeutic approaches in her clinical framework. She provides individual therapy and medication management.
