I don’t even have the right words to describe how truly amazing our experience was. I have been searching for answers on my own for my son for many years. With no real luck on “self diagnosing” him. Which I don’t recommend by the Show moreway. We finally broke down and decided to seek a medical professional. Our pediatrician referred us to Dr. Barros. I was incredibly skeptical because I didn’t want someone to push medication on us from the get go. So my first impression of the office was great. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. The office was very neat and clean. The exam room was decorated very kid friendly and very comfortable and calming. Dr. Barros was very calm and collected when he spoke with me. He answered all on the hundreds of questions I had as well as answering the one my son had. We both left the appointment feeling like a huge weight had been lifted. So many answers that I had been searching for were finally clear. I would absolutely recommend this office to any of my parent friends. Our boat was beyond excellent and I look forward to moving though this new chapter in my sons life with him.
This doctor is very caring and really cares about the well being of the kids. However if you decide to go to this office, be prepare to wait for this doctor. It looks like she’s the only one in the office, not only will you wait iShow moren the sitting area for about 5 min (which is not bad), you will wait in the room they assign you for about 30 min. Also the front desk girl is rude, the two on the side are really nice, but the girl you see once you open the door needs to be more generous, last time i entered she acted like she didn’t see me and then she says “i didn’t see you cuz you were hiding” yet the two other girls on the side saw me very clearly and had to let her know i was waiting on her.
Barbara Kiersz-Mueller, D.O., is a board-certified family physician who has specialized expertise in headaches, ADHD, sports injuries and child development. Dr. Kiersz Mueller treats patients at the Austin branch of THINK Neurology for Kids in Texas.
Dr Kiersz-Mueller was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and moved to Florida with her parents and siblings at the age of 15. Dr. Kiersz-Mueller majored in chemical biology for her undergraduate studies at Stevens Institute of Technology, earning a Bachelor of Science. After graduating in 2010, she enrolled at the Touro University Nevada College of Osteopathic Medicine to complete her medical degree.
Dr. Kiersz-Mueller undertook her internship in family and osteopathic medicine at the Medical College of Georgia from 2014-2015, and completed her residency in family and community medicine at the University of Texas Health Sciences San Antonio from 2015-2017, where she served as chief resident during her senior year. She joined THINK Neurology for Kids in 2020. Dr. Kiersz-Mueller holds certification from the American Board of Family Medicine.
When she is not devoting her time to young patients, Dr. Kiersz-Mueller takes great pleasure in spending time with her husband and hiking and paddle-boarding with their Dachshund. In December, 2019, Dr Kiersz Mueller became a CrossFit Level 1 trainer, which she hopes to someday integrate with her practice in order to promote self-confidence and strength in her patients.

Dr. Kiersz-Mueller is exactly what every physician should be. She is an expert in her field, listens, never rushes appointments, and makes sure every question is answered. She speaks the perfect language for our child and for us as parents. She combines natural treatments with proven medical courses of treatment. It's a great mix that empowers parents to make decisions that are best for their kids. Finding Dr. Kiersz-Mueller was truly a godsend for our family. Our daughters situation has improved dramatically and so much of that improvement can be directly tied to Dr. Kiersz-Mueller's help.

Absolutely ADORE DR. Kiersz-Mueller and it has only been one visit. She was very detailed and broke everything down for us to understand. She explained why my son was manifesting certain behaviors and wants to do further testing to see how much of that is autism and how much is ADHD. I believe God closed some doors and had us step in with Think Neurology for kids and the reason is getting the best treatment for our 10 year old son.
Ms Una answered all of my questions and provided us great information.

I was given the guidance I so desperately needed for my Autistic 4y/o daughter. I now have the tools I need to give my daughter every opportunity to excel in life. I highly recommend THINK Neurology to any families with children on the spectrum. It is such a relief to feel heard, understood and helped. We will be following up in a year and I cannot wait to update the Dr. on our daughter's progress. Thank you again to Dr. Mueller!
