I’m a terrible patient. I know this. My job and some health issues keep me from honoring my appointments like I should. They are ever so accommodating. The office manager, like the doctor, are both straight up. They tell you how tShow morehings are and not just what you want to hear. They tell you what you should know. I appreciate them both immensely! The doctor has the best common sense analogies! I love it there so unfortunately for them, they are stuck with me.
Dr Laracuente was prepared, prepared, prepared for my appointment. He had my records from Med Xpress, Urgent Care, The PA I’m seeing and the emergency room visits. He knew my issues and explained everything from diagnosis to treatShow morements. Always explaining and encouraging me to ask questions. Benjamin A. Laracuente, MD, F.C.C.P, is a skilled pulmonologist who leads the team at Tristate Pulmonary Medical Practice in Monaca, Pennsylvania. In addition to his pulmonary expertise, Dr. Laracuente is knowledgeable about all aspects of internal medicine and has completed fellowships in both sleep disorders and critical care. Earning his medical degree from Universidad Central del Caribe, Bayamon School of Medicine in Puerto Rico, Dr. Laracuente completed an internship in general surgery at New York Hospital Medical Center of Queens and did his residency training in internal medicine at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, also in Queens, New York.
Dr. Laracuente continued his education with a critical care medicine fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. He also finished fellowship training in pulmonary disease at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center in the Bronx, New York, and in sleep disorders at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, New Jersey.
Dr. Laracuente values the time he spends getting to know his patients’ needs and building the long-term relationships necessary to keep pulmonary disease and other chronic conditions well-controlled. He also provides in-hospital visits for patients in the intensive care unit. Dr. Laracuente is fluent in both English and Spanish.

Dr Laracuente was able to get me an appointment right away, (same day). That's unheard off now.. I was so grateful. He always listens to what I tell him. He's always very pleasant. I'm very happy!!

Great Doctor
Doctor Laracuente is a very exacting and professional physician who diagnosed my COPD. and got me started on the CPAP machine. My breathing is much improved.
They take the time to listen to what you have to say they ask you enough questions that you can tell them that we detail about why you're there what you expect very efficient I felt like someone cared by the time I walked out of the office
Concise and satisfactory
I love this office. They are very efficient and personal. I have never had any issues or problems. If I am not feeling well I am seen usually the same day either in-person or telehealth.
