I'd give Dr Laracuente 1000 stars if I could. He is the absolute BEST doctor I have ever known .....EVER! I have had COPD for years and in 1 hour he taught me more about my condition than I ever knew. He was telling me things thShow moreat should have been explained to me years ago. If I didn't understand something he very kindly found a way to explain it so that I could understand it and never once make me feel inferior. I can't say enough good about this highly intelligent man. On top of his superoir knowledge in the total health of a body,, that he takes plenty of time with you, explains things thoroughly, he has the GREATEST SENSE OF HUMOR! I LOVE THE DOCTOR!

Benjamin A. Laracuente, MD, F.C.C.P, is a skilled pulmonologist who leads the team at Tristate Pulmonary Medical Practice in Monaca, Pennsylvania. In addition to his pulmonary expertise, Dr. Laracuente is knowledgeable about all aspects of internal medicine and has completed fellowships in both sleep disorders and critical care. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and affiliates with Heritage Valley Health in Beaver, Pennsylvania, and Jameson Hospital in New Castle, Pennsylvania.

Earning his medical degree from Universidad Central del Caribe, Bayamon School of Medicine in Puerto Rico, Dr. Laracuente completed an internship in general surgery at New York Hospital Medical Center of Queens and did his residency training in internal medicine at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, also in Queens, New York.
Dr. Laracuente continued his education with a critical care medicine fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. He also finished fellowship training in pulmonary disease at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center in the Bronx, New York, and in sleep disorders at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, New Jersey.
Dr. Laracuente values the time he spends getting to know his patients’ needs and building the long-term relationships necessary to keep pulmonary disease and other chronic conditions well-controlled.
