About Benjamin Larison, MHC-LP

I am so excited that you took this courageous step towards personal growth and healing! Whether it’s relationship issues, anxiety or depression, discomfort adjusting to a life change, or just a general feeling of being “stuck’’, therapy can help you sort this out and help you find a path to health and happiness. I welcome clients from all backgrounds and identities while specializing in the LGBTQ+ community.

 
I employ a person-centered, strengths-based approach to counseling while utilizing techniques from various theoretical approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and others, while tailoring a treatment approach to each individual client's needs. Together we will fold back your unique layers to uncover how dynamics from the past impact present-day behaviors and relationships while ensuring you have the proper tools and resources to navigate and overcome the challenges you are experiencing.
 
Building a foundation of trust and safety is my primary job as a therapist and is a prerequisite for meaningful change to occur. I am looking forward to building a strong therapeutic relationship with you and working together to help you reach your goals and enhance your overall well-being!
