Dr. Nazaro took her time with me, listened to all my issues and really took her time setting up a plan to get me on a better path and quality of life. I’ve struggled with daily headaches for almost 30 years. The diagnosis ranged fShow morerom chronic migraines to tension headaches but I started self medicating with over the counter meds, taking up to 4 goody powders a day for the last 4 years and I created a massive rebound headache that would never go away. I went in with desperation to get this cycle broken and on the correct meds and she assured me she will help me! Might be some trial and error but I’m on day 5 of detoxing from the otc meds and am already feeling a little better with the breakthrough therapy to help with that. I can tell she is the person for me and is going to get me where I need to be to feel good again. She’s very personable and was so easy to talk with. And she listened! She’s an incredible doctor, if you struggle with headaches or migraines call her!!!

Dr. Bernadette Nazario-Lopez is the founder and medical director of the Migraine and Headache Center of Florida. She is board certified in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and in Headache Medicine by the United Council of Neurologic Subspecialties.
Dr. Nazario-Lopez served as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL, where she initiated and assisted in the development of the Headache Medicine Clinic. Prior to starting her own practice, Dr. Nazario-Lopez was the Medical Director of the Headache Program at a healthcare institution in Florida.
Prior to entering medical school, Dr. Nazario-Lopez received a Doctorate in Pharmacy from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, graduating cum laude. She then went to complete 2 post-graduate clinical pharmacy training programs at the San Juan VA Medical Center. She decided to continue with her passion with direct patient care, studying medicine at the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine, where she graduated magna cum laude. Subsequently, she completed her Neurology residency at the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine.
Dr. Nazario-Lopez expertise include evaluating and treating different types of headaches that include, but not limited to migraine, cluster headache, tension type headache, paroxysmal hemicrania, new daily persistent headache, pseudotumor cerebri, headache in pregnancy, occipital neuralgia, post-Covid headache, among others. She also evaluates and treats facial pain, including trigeminal neuralgia.
She is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and American Headache Society.

Dr Nazario is very knowledgeable and empathetic. I have been dealing with horrible head and neck pain for 6 months and have seen many specialists, without any relief. Within a few days of seeing Dr. Nazario, she prescribed a proper medication which reduced the pain tremendously, made referrals to functional neurological services for nerve block and for physical therapy. I am extremely happy and impressed with Dr Nazario, she did not throw pills at me, she wanted to help solve my Spinal problem.
Dr Nazario is very knowledgeable on head pain and pharmacology. She listens carefully and thoroughly examines the MRI’S, to determine the exact cause of head pain and then she physically examines and determines what the condition is and the best treatment course to correct it. Dr Narzario has a very pleasant demeanor and obviously cares about her patients. A breath of fresh air in the medical community.

10+ out 10+, Dr Nazario is the best headache specialist in the area! I have struggled with chronic headaches and debilitating chronic migraines and she has been the only provider that really help me and did not gave up on me and dedicated to help me feel better, trying various treatments, she loves and cares tremendously for her patients and loves what she does and puts her heart and soul into getting you better!
