Beth-Ann Sheff Ross

Buffy Sheff Ross, MSW, LICSW, is a Boston University School of Social Work graduate with decades of experience in hospital, outpatient, and specialty care settings. For the past seven years, she has been a clinical social worker at Newton-Wellesley Hospital, providing therapeutic interventions and counseling to patients experiencing postpartum depression and anxiety, infertility, pregnancy loss, and complex pregnancy outcomes. Previously, Buffy spent more than twenty years at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, where she held a variety of clinical and leadership roles. She provided Psychological First Aid to patients and families in the Emergency Department and later served as Social Work Manager, overseeing social workers across multiple clinical areas. Buffy has also served as a Faculty Field Advisor at Boston University School of Social Work, supporting the development of future social workers. Outside of work, Buffy loves spending time with her family and dogs along the coast of Maine
