About Bethany Morrell, NP-C

Bethany is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health (PMHNP) and Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP). She completed her post Master’s certification as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner at Johns Hopkins University, graduating in the Summer of 2024. Bethany has over 15 years of experience in healthcare. She holds Bachelor degrees in both Psychology from Mary Washington University and Nursing from Shenandoah University (BSN). She practiced as a Registered Nurse (RN) at Inova Fairfax Hospital for 5 years before obtaining her Master’s degree from Frontier University in 2015. She has been practicing as a Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner (FNP) for the past 9 years in primary care, urgent care and outpatient psychiatric settings. She discovered a passion for helping patients manage their mental health, and decided to focus her practice in psychiatry. She enjoys working with patients to manage their anxiety, insomnia, OCD, depression, ADHD, adjustment disorders, and PTSD.
