My husband had been in back pain for a several years. He had fell out of a tree stand and had crushed some of his lower vertebrate. Saw someone about it shortly after the accident and was told that if he had surgery it would have Show moreto be done again in about 3 years. So we waited several more years. Finally in 2021 we found Dr Pearson, he said he could relieve some of the pain by scrapping off some of the arthritis. It helped for about 3years. We went back to see Dr Pearson about doing anything else. Dr Pearson said he could help Him by fussing some of the vertebra together. While he was doing the surgery he found a large spear that was pressing on some nerves, and removed it and completed surgery. My husband has been relieved of 99% of his pain in his lower back. Finding Dr Pearson and praying for help with my husband pain was meant to be at this time. Thank you Dr Pearson

Blake E. Pearson, MD, is a board-certified neurosurgeon at Alabama Neurological Surgery & Spine in Birmingham, Alabama. He joined the practice in 2011.
Dr. Pearson studied at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, for his undergraduate degree, graduating Summa Cum Laude in 2000. From there, he moved to Washington, DC, to attend Georgetown University’s School of Medicine.
For his internship and residency, Dr. Pearson relocated to Birmingham to study under the skilled staff at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Here, he was awarded Chief Resident in Neurosurgery. Today he is affiliated with Grandview Medical Center.

I had a consultation with Dr. Pearson on June 27, 2024 to discuss my upcoming procedure to implant a Spinal Cord Stimulator (SCS) in my lower back. Dr. Pearson was very cordial, straightforward and professional when explaining the details of the procedure. Dr. Pearson was honest regarding the seriousness and the risk/rewards involved with the SCS procedure. I appreciated that very much and look forward to getting the procedure behind me and achieving relief from the excruciating pain I’ve endured for approximately 18 months. Dr. Pearson was very highly recommended to me by my primary physician and Spinal specialist. I highly recommend Dr. Pearson as a neurologist.

Dr. Pearson is attuned to your pain, and will move mountains to get you the right procedure and get you out of pain. I was so impressed by him.
