Brad Rickert, DPT, is the Clinical Coordinator and a highly trained physical therapist at Bowman Physical Therapy in River Oaks and Houston Heights. He specializes in treating neck, back, shoulder, hip, and knee injuries and has additional expertise in neurologic physical therapy. Brad began his academic journey at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, where he earned a degree in kinesiology pre-professional. He went on to receive his Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from the University of Central Arkansas in Conway. Additionally, he completed specialized training at Owens Recovery Science, becoming a certified Personalized Blood Flow Restriction (PBFR) provider.
Brad’s passion for physical therapy was sparked early on, influenced by his family of physical therapists and a lifelong love of sports. His interest in working with athletes—helping them stay healthy and perform at their best—fueled his dedication to the field. “The human body is incredibly strong and adaptable. We all have the ability to learn and change after an injury, and there is nothing more rewarding than helping someone return to the sport or activity they love,” says Brad.
His approach to care is both professional and personal. Having dealt with injuries himself, Brad understands the importance of individualized treatment and knows how to make therapy both effective and enjoyable. He keeps sessions upbeat and encouraging, pushing his patients to achieve their goals with empathy and determination.
