About Dr. Harkrider

Brent Harkrider, MD, is a fellowship-trained pain physician board-certified in both Anesthesiology and Pain Management. He provides integrative care to patients of all ages at Johnston Pain Management, P.A., which has three convenient locations in Jacksonville, New Bern, and Sneads Ferry, North Carolina.
Dr. Harkrider completed his residency in anesthesiology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he served as chief resident. He then went on to specialty training in pain management at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
To stay up to date with the latest advances in his field, Dr. Harkrider is a member of the North Carolina Medical Society, the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine, and the Pain Society of the Carolinas.
