I had a new patient appointment w/ Dr. Hiral Patel today. My husband and I don't easily give anyone 5 stars. Dr. Patel is an exceptional doctor w/ excellent bed side manners. He is one of those medical professionals who know what Show morethey do really well to be able to clearly explain it to their patients. My husband and I are pretty analytical so we always have an endless list of questions. Typically, doctors just rush you through an appt. But Dr. Patel was extremely patient in answering ALL of our questions. I'm also a process oriented person so he clearly outlined the next steps for anxious me. I cannot praise this surgeon enough.
Very organized and quick response to my needed surgery. I had an umbilical hernia and was brought in for a consultation. They scheduled the surgery within a week of that same visit. Dr. Sachse has a very "common sense" approachShow more to the procedure and explained things clearly. I am currently at one week since surgery and have minor to no remaining pain (your results may vary). Dr. Sachse followed up about one week later to make sure things were going well. At this point I have about 5 more weeks of taking it easy and recovering. I would recommend Dr. Brett Sachse without hesitation.

At the Surgical Consultants of Northern Virginia in Reston, Virginia, Dr. Sachse applies this work ethic to performing expert surgeries to patients of all ages. He specializes in minimally invasive and robotic surgeries from anti-reflux surgery to laparoscopic gallbladder removal.
Always an outstanding student, Dr. Sachse was admitted to medical school while still in high school through a unique program offered by Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, and MCP Hahnemann University (now Drexel University College of Medicine) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In just seven semesters, he earned his Bachelor of Science in biology at Wilkes University. He spent his final semester as a Guthrie Scholar, performing clinical research at the Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Sachse joined the U.S. Army through the Health Professions Scholarship program during his senior year of college. After completing his Doctor of Medicine and his surgical residency at MCP Hahnemann University, he became active duty, serving his country by performing surgeries for service people, military contractors, and others at Fort Belvoir in Fairfax County, Virginia, and during two deployments to Iraq.
Outside of his practice, Dr. Saches enjoys spending time with his wife and five children.

The robot that fixed my hernia was awesome. I named it Cecil, but everyone in the OR calls it The Slasher.
Everything went smoothly and this is my 6th day after my surgery. I have no pain and almost back to the same old me. Dr Saches and his team are the best!

Wonderful… except for the post-op experience when I vomited a lot and felt quite dizzy and couldn’t wake up. I have experienced these symptoms previously and told the anesthesiologist about it but it seems that she did not believe me.
I am glad I saw Dr.Sachse again very efficient, professional and explains what’s going on and how he plans to help you. His approach made me feel very comfortable. His staff was pleasant and got the job done.
Amazingly fast consult appointment availability, in depth knowledge, easy going manner, and taking time to listen makes Dr Sachse leaps and bounds above others.
