I've known Dr. Stark for 15 years, first as a drug rep, then as a patient. Having met and developed a professional relationship with HUNDREDS of doctors in the Greater L.A. area, when it came to choosing my own physician, it was aShow moren easy choice. He is triple boarded in Internal Medicine, Pain Medicine, and Addiction Medicine and has been incredibly helpful as I navigate major changes in my healthcare needs, even for issues that are treated by other specialists. If it's a condition he doesn't treat, he still makes sure I'm getting treated follows up with me during subsequent visits regarding my progress. After moving from L.A. to Henderson, NV a few years ago, I tried very hard to find a comparable provider. Eventually I decided to return every three months to see Dr. Stark for the medications he manages for me. With some health issues, it is critical to have a doctor you can trust to treat you properly, be your advocate when necessary, who will be honest in consultations AND in pricing for his cash patients. I will continue to make the 5 hour drive, each way, to be taken care of by Dr. Stark and his fantastic office staff. They always do their best to accommodate me when my trip is delayed by weather, or construction, or any other fiasco that can postpone my arrival. Rather than making me feel like I've inconvenienced them, the staff treats me with empathy, usually expressing appreciation for patient loyalty. I will continue to look for quality providers in the Las Vegas area, but am so grateful that Dr. Stark is still here for me, so I don't have to settle for inferior care as life shows up with increasingly complicated healthcare issues. Aging, after all, is not for wimps, and it helps to have someone to help fight in your corner.
I have been going to Dr Stsrk for many years and like him as my primary care MD. I would gladly recommend him to anyone. I was just a little disappointed the other day when he sent a prescription to Walgreens and I found out it woShow moreuld take a week to get it. I called back and left a msg but never heard anything back. I wanted to change pharmacies where my daughter gets the same Rx and it takes 1 day if it needs to be ordered. I got through early the following morning and explained the situation and was told a note would be sent to Dr Stark. He left at 3 today and the prescription was not sent to the other pharmacy. If it is not sent by noon Thursday I won’t get it until Monday and I am going to run out Friday morning. I don’t want to go into withdrawal, especially because I have to work Friday and Sunday. I really need to get this filled ASAP. Not only because of the withdrawal, but my pain has gotten worse and doing patient care working 12 hour shifts is very hard for me. iWork at this time because I have to-not because I want to. At 69 I would rather be retired but I can’t. At least until I get my knee replacement I need this medication to get through the day. Please get this taken care of today. It’s really important so I can go to work.

I enjoy Dr Stark's focus on not adding another pill or drug unless really needed. I have had doctors in the past that just wanted to add another medication, rather than analyzing what my lifestyle might be not supporting a healthy lifestyle.

Dr. Stark is one of the finest doctors on the planet and so is Dr. Hernandez, because I have seen him as well a couple of times. I never had a doctor before who was actually interested in my situation other than superficially but Dr. Stark goes as deep as he has to. And as a person, but he is always personable and so kind. I have complete confidence in him as my doctor. I appreciate the help the medical center offers, because as a senior, your problems always need the most immediate attention that is available . Been coming to Dr. Stark for 25 years or so I started with my mom, dad and both brothers. I'm the last of my brothers under his care as my brothers moved away. I may be the oldest of the 3 of us but I am also the healthiest.
