Dr. Cameron is great, always so patient and willing to listen to any concern a parent may have. I been coming to this office for 11 years or so, the staff is always great, never had a problem. But this time there was 2 new girls IShow more've never seen before and both were really rough with the cleaning part of both my kids. Both of my girls had a bit of blood on their guns when finished and I know my little girl (7yo) said "ouch" a few times during the cleaning and she has never said that before. I've taken her there since she was 6 months of age.
Lely I’m not very happy why because they’ll cancel my appointment I put it three months before and they canceled three days before and they don’t have a place to put another appointment at the time I need it I really appreciate itShow more they have some back up or put me the appointments a time I need it thank you so much appreciate it for your help God bless you
Cameron Skaugrud, DDS, known to his patients as Dr. Cam, is a skilled pediatric dentist at My Kidz Dentist in Phoenix, Arizona. Dr. Skaugrud is excellent at keeping children calm and at ease during extensive and complex dental procedures. As an Alaska native, he is excited to serve the diverse community of Phoenix and the surrounding area.
Dr. Skaugrud graduated from high school in his hometown of Juneau, Alaska, before moving south for his higher education. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Chapman University in Orange, California. He made the short move to San Francisco to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the esteemed University of the Pacific, graduating in 1995.
After completing dental school, Dr. Skaugrud moved to Cincinnati for his two-year residency in pediatric dentistry at the Children’s Hospital. He discovered his gift for communicating with kids who have special needs and received extensive training in behavior management, oral conscious sedation, and treatments with general anesthesia.
Today, Dr. Skaugrud gives children healthy, gleaming smiles with cleanings and treatments at My Kidz Dentist. He knows that going to the dentist can be scary for kids, so he strives to make their appointments as carefree and fun as possible while keeping open communication with their parents. He frequently performs root canals, fillings, crown fittings, and cleanings.
