I initially went to see Dr. Cardenas for my annual gynecology visit. From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel comfortable and at ease. Dr. Cardenas was kind, understanding, and took the time to really listen to my conceShow morerns. He explained everything clearly and made sure I felt informed and comfortable throughout the entire visit. It can be nerve-wracking going to the gynecologist, but he made the experience so positive and reassuring. The office was very clean, organized, and the whole team was professional and caring. I have continued to see Dr. Cardenas for hormone treatment and received my initial Hormone Replacement Therapy. Since then, I’ve noticed a significant overall improvement — no mood swings, reduced anxiety, better sleep, and increased libido. I truly appreciate the level of compassion and attention Dr. Cardenas and his staff provide. Highly recommend!

With more than 40 years of experience working with women in all life stages, Carlos Cardenas, MD, is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist serving people in San Antonio, Texas. He provides a wide range of gynecology services, focusing on menopause management, preventive services and well-woman exams, and minimally invasive surgeries.
He completed an internship at Roxborough Memorial Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and his residency training at Drexel University College of Medicine (formerly Hahnemann Medical College) in Philadelphia. Dr. Cardenas is a co-founder of the Institute for Women’s Health, the largest OB/GYN and fertility practice in South Texas.
Dr. Cardenas is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a member of the American Association of Gynecological Laparoscopists, Texas Medical Association, and Bexar County Medical Society. He is also on the Board of Directors of the Methodist Ambulatory Surgical Center.

The whole practice is very nice ,and helpful.
I called early in the morning hoping to get an appointment. The receptionist got me in right away . The wait was about 30 minutes. I was seen by doctor Cardenas who is very friendly he informs me clearly what was wrong. I have been seeing Doctor Cardenas for decades. I am very satisfied with him and his staff .

Dr Cardenas is very good with HRT for optimized health and energy. He always takes the time to explain the procedures, asks questions, and makes me feel comfortable with pellet therapy.
