Catheryn Candanoza, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC is one of the newest board-certified nurse practitioners to join the Pinnacle Healthcare System team, working with cardiology and primary care patients.
Her passion for helping others started when she first attended Miami Dade College Nursing School where she sharpened her foundational skills and developed a deep understanding of patient needs. Once licensed as a Registered Nurse, she brought her newfound knowledge to Mount Sinai and continued at Memorial West working closely with cardiology. Driven by a desire to further enhance her career and love of nursing, she studied at the University of Miami where she earned her Master’s Degree and became a Family Nurse Practitioner. Whether it’s conducting thorough assessments, diagnosing and treating cardiac conditions, or offering preventative care, she is passionate about empowering patients to make informed decisions about their health.
Born and raised in South Florida, Catheryn enjoys time spent relaxing in the beautiful beaches FL has to offer, baking pastries and being an avid traveler, planning her next adventure to discover a new city or country. Never one to stop growing, Catheryn is always looking for ways to further expand her knowledge for the future ahead. Exhibiting high levels of patience and a compassion for understanding, Catheryn will be able to provide the best for those in her care. As a mother, I am very satisfied with Dr. Carballo. My daughter has a mild disability due to a rare condition and requires specialized care. I chose Dr. Carballo because he treats her as an important patient, and I am grateful for his support. Unfortunately, I do not have direct access to speak with him about these office issues. While not all of the office ladies are difficult, my last two calls left me feeling poorly treated. It felt as though we were not being treated well simply because I am going through a difficult financial time right now. To the staff in the office: I hope you never find yourselves in my position. The administration here is unacceptable. Patients must track their own refills, and we often wait over two days for a response to the pharmacy. Recently, the staff called to confirm an appointment but then said they had to check with the manager to see if we could attend due to an open balance. The manager never called back to confirm or cancel. Now, the office is charging me a $25 no-show fee for an appointment they never confirmed. It makes me very sad to say goodbye to Dr. Carballo. Thank you very much for your support and for helping my daughter.
Dr. C and Elizabeth are excellent. However, some of the referrals, such as for sleep apnea are less then desirable and with providers without good reviews. I was told I would have a home study mailed to me, and that hasn't materialized, yet.
He is very profesional and nice with the patient
Dr Caraballo, Maria the PA and the entire staff are very friendly and inviting. Dr Caraballo and Maria talk to the patients as a person and with the patient explaining and answering all the questions so the patient understands.
I’m so glad to have Dr.Caraballo as my cardiac doctor.Every visit he has always explained in great details about my treatments so I understand fully., always showing such compassion and makes me feel like he really cares. Such an amazing physician! The office staff always go that extra mile, Tiffany, Monica, Monique always pleasant .Also a big shout out to Elizabeth who rounds with Dr. Caraballo “wonderful young lady” always extremely helpful.
Dr Carbalho is the most kind doctor my daughter found. He really take care my daughter with Moya Moya. He understands the critical situation with Blood pressure and disease with not cure and medication. He always give to my daughter and me a incredible emotional support and hope for every day.
