Dr. Barak-Norris, and her Associate training Dr. were both phenomenal! I appreciate SO much when a Dr. LISTSENS to all of your concerns, instead of having one foot out of the room, as you try to talk to them, and she ALWAYS listenShow mores to me. She also took the time to make sure that I understood ALL of the ways to take my inhaler, the way that allergy shots would work, and also allowed me a chance to really consider the allergy shots before I begin, should I choose to do move forward. She is about 40 miles away, but is MORE that worth the trip, to be cared for by her! I will continue to use this office as long as she is on my care team!
Not happy that I have to drive a second time in the week because they would not let my son and I get our shots after our appointment. We live over 30 minutes away and I also work full-time. I don’t see why we could not just pop ovShow moreer to the shot clinic and sign in. (No new serum, no dose change as we are on maintenance, and shots due) I’m giving a 5 for the people and because I respect Dr. Mayer.

Dr. Mayer received pediatric and adult allergy/immunology fellowship training at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Before entering private practice, Dr. Mayer was the Associate Pediatric Program Director at Bi-County Community Hospital in Warren, Michigan. He has co-authored numerous articles published in prestigious medical journals, exploring essential topics such as granulomatous disease in infants and the management of food allergies.

Dr. Mayer is very patient & knowledgeable. We appreciate that he takes the time to explain things. He also is personable & practical. We travel quite a distance for his care and it has been completely worth it. OIT has been a game changer for our family and has increased the quality of all our lives. We also appreciate how professional his office staff is and how much attention is taken to have the appts. run smoothly and remain on schedule.

Dr. Mayer is by far the most knowledgable and educated allergist in SE Michigan. Not only that, but he is very patient and actually takes the time to speak with and educate his patients as opposed to rushing patients out like many other doctors do. He really does care and is very passionate about his work.

I just had my first appointment with Dr.Mayer and it was phenomenal. Dr. Mayer is very knowledgeable, attentive, and he values the importance of finding the root cause. I would highly recommend Dr. Mayer to anyone with chronic illness that is believed to be centered around allergies/immune system/mast cells; he will not leave you disappointed.
So far seems to be very thorough and is very attentive to my concern. He listened to all my symptoms and is coming up with a plan of care.
Dr Mayer was excellent. He took his time to get a thorough history and then spent tons of time to explain what he assessed was causing my health issues and plenty of suggestions on how I can manage my issues. GREAT DOCTOR!!!
We recently had our first appt with Dr. Mayer. We weren't being heard at our Lady allergist and after 1 appt we are so excited to see the progress with our son! We should have switched years ago!

This practice is wonderful. Everyone who works there is friendly. They make scheduling easy and convenient. Dr. Meyer is phenomenal. Everything is great since the moment you call to make an appointment. Great staff, great office, and I cannot recommend Dr. Mayer enough, he is so knowledgeable, great with kids, answers questions, always with a smile even when he is busy. I can’t trust myself or my kids to any other allergyst. He is just fantastic.
Dr Mayer is so knowledgeable, great with kids and amazing at responding questions. He explains everything in a way that even my kids can understand. He is also very good at looking at the history chart, which MANY doctors don’t do. I give him and his practice an amazing 100!!

I was referred to Dr. Mayer by a friend that brought her daughter to him for a severe peanut allergy. Years later she is safe to eat peanuts thanks to his help and desensitization treatments. Dr. Mayer is kind and knowledgeable and so is his office staff. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for an allergist.

I took my son to another allergist in the past who was condescending and made me feel like a bad mom. Chad listened to everything I had to say and let me take as long as I needed. He answered all of my questions without making me feel ashamed. I would go to him again and again for the way he treated us. He also was so great at explaining everything in detail. This is how all doctors should be!
