Chad Nedrud, MD, is a talented ophthalmologist and cornea and refractive surgery specialist on the team of renowned doctors at Rocky Mountain Eye Care Center. He works with patients at the practice’s office in Missoula, Montana.
Dr. Nedrud graduated with a bachelor’s degree in biology from Colorado College in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and earned his medical degree from the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle. He then relocated to Tucson, Arizona, to complete a research fellowship in the department of ophthalmology at the University of Arizona. He’s published numerous papers focused on LASIK/LASEK surgery and intracameral antibiotics.
Dr. Nedrud stayed at the University of Arizona for his internship and ophthalmology residency, serving as the chief resident. He finished his training at the University of California, San Diego’s Shiley Eye Center in San Diego, where he completed a fellowship in cornea and refractive surgery. During his time there, he was also the attending physician and worked as a clinical instructor in cornea, cataract, and refractive surgery.
In his practice, Dr. Nedrud specializes in laser refractive and corneal surgery and the treatment of cataracts.

Everyone was exceptional! Very professional, kind, and concerned that all questions were addressed before my surgery. The nurses are above and beyond the best I have ever met! My CRNA was wonderful, listened to my input, and delivered the best sedation custom tailored for me. Dr. Nedrud is a calming presence with elite surgical skills. His knowledge and experience inspire patient confidence as trust in your healthcare team is all important!

I do have further questions regarding my upcoming procedure.
Dr. Nedrud introduced himself with a friendly smile. He showed me a drawing of the eye and what he would do to eliminate the cataract. Then he performed a few tests on my eyes and his assistant added them to my records. He was very pleasant as were all I met that day. He asked me for any questions I might have. I would highly recommend Dr. Nedrud. Also my first operation left me with a 20/15 eye score. It is amazing how well I can see with this eye.

Dr. McCoy is very knowledgeable and answered all my questions throughly. If applicable, she offers different options for the treatment of your particular eye health needs.

So far so good! Going back in a couple of weeks for the other eye. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy cataract surgery was! I had myself worried for no reason. I was very squeamish at the thought of someone operating on my eyes. Not only was the surgery a breeze but the entire staff was professional, friendly and down to earth. Dr. Nedrud inspires confidence! He's direct and concise. These are two important qualities in my book. I'm excited and ready to go back for my second eye!

Very professional as was the entire staff from start to finish. Most happy the questions prior to surgery were handled quickly through e mails or personal phone call backs. Dr Nedrud himself gave me calls prior to surgery and I really appreciated that. This is a harrowing experience since we all have just one set of eyes. I have entered the " winter " of life and desire to " see " it to the finish.
