Charmie Faith A. Frykman, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner. She finished her bachelor's degree in nursing at DDBTMS, Philippines. While working as a bedside nurse at UT Southwestern Medical Center, Charmie was recognized with the Diana and Richard C. Strauss Service Excellence Award, highlighting her commitment as a role model to the next generation of employees and her commitment to her community. She also had an honorable mention among 25 outstanding nurses by the Texas Nurse Association.
With a passion for patient care and to better serve her community, she pursued and earned her Master of Science in Nursing degree specializing in Psychiatric Mental Health at Walden University.
She has 15 years of diverse nursing experience,e including serving her community in various capacities. She has experience in adult inpatient mental health. As a psychiatric nurse practitioner, her goal is to provide individualized care to every patient, helping them function mentally to the utmost extent.
When not at work, Charmie, as she is fondly called by many, enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and serving her community through her local church.

I’m very satisfied with Charmie. She always has a sense of comfort and makes me feel like she cares about what is going on with me she offers great concepts to help me reduce my anxiety. I always enjoyed meeting up with her in anyway.
I'm am at a point that I can be weened off of therepy. But continue to need medicine management.
The initial visit went better than I feared it would... unlike way too many visits with past professionals, I didn't feel judged at all...and, the assessment questions seemed quite detailed, but didn't feel as if she was jus filling out some generic questionnaire..I fully intend to continue therapy with her...
