Chelsea Saltzman, RD, LDN is committed to helping patients navigate nutrition with confidence through practical, evidence-based care. As a Registered Dietitian at Princeton Sports and Family Medicine, she takes a collaborative approach with patients and the interdisciplinary care team to support each persons unique health goals. At the core of her practice is the belief that nutrition shouldn't make life more difficult, but instead be a practice in nourishment and self-care.
Chelsea earned her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition & Foods from Drexel University where she spent time as a research assistant at the University of Pennsylvania, and completed her dietetic internship with Morrison Healthcare.
Her professional background spans community nutrition, clinical care, private practice, and food entrepreneurship, giving her a unique perspective on the many ways people experience food and health. She began her career working in nonprofit nutrition programs providing nutrition education in schools, assisting food banks, and supporting food program initiatives through the NJ Department of Agriculture. Since shifting into a clinical setting, she has provided medical nutrition therapy to children, adolescents, adults, and older adults with diverse needs, including weight management, sports performance, gastrointestinal conditions, eating disorders, and chronic disease. She is also the co-founder of a nutrition focused smoothie café in Bucks County, created with the goal of fostering a welcoming community space where nutritious food is approachable, enjoyable, and free from judgment.
Outside of the office, Chelsea can be found strength training or in the kitchen experimenting with new cuisines and fun recipes, many of which find their way into conversations with her patients. She also loves exploring Philadelphia or small towns in search of great food and local history. Whenever the weather permits, you can find her outdoors on a nature walk, bird watching, camping, paddleboarding or finding any excuse to be near the water.

Doctor McCarthy was very professional and very personal, she also helped me by giving additional advice on ankle issues I have been dealing with on and off by giving me a paper with recovery exercises.

Dr. Okafor was very responsive to my need for a pre-operation clearance and was actually covering for my regular doctor. He made time for my appointment on short notice and allowed me to have my surgery same week. Very courteous and answered all my questions.

Dr. McCarthy did an excellent intake and reviewed each item I had filled out on the questionnaire. She was warm and welcoming. I came away feeling like she was exactly the type of Doctor I was looking for. She also provided me with refill prescriptions and we set up a date for my next visit.

Dr. Okafor has a lovely demeanor and was very thorough in his examination. He provided several options for my care and was able to resolve my immediate needs. He was very good at communicating the path to better health and the symptoms that may arise that would require a reexamination of my medical condition.
