Dr. Chetan Chauhan, MD

Dr. Chauhan is a board certified adult psychiatrist. He takes a holistic approach to treatment that involves learning about his patients' psychiatric symptoms as well as their beliefs, thought patterns, and the challenges they face in their everyday lives. He treats patients for a number of conditions including mood disorders (such as depression), anxiety disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder. After determining if medication would be helpful, he works together with his patients to explore concerns they may have about treatment or medications, and actively engages them in developing a plan to improve their symptoms and quality of life. Dr. Chauhan received his medical degree from New York Medical College and completed residency at Stony Brook University Hospital, where he served as chief resident.
