I started going to see Dr. Jhaveri last year instead of going to see the office immediately down the street from my house that I had been seeing for 10 years because they stopped accepting my insurance. Dr. Jhaveri's office acceptShow moreed my insurance. Now that I have an insurance the place down the street accepts, I still chose to see Dr. Jhaveri this year, even though he is quite a far drive for me because I noticed last year when I went to his office the front office staff, medical assistants and doctor were very thorough, professional and knowledgeable. The equipment was state of the art as well. I come from a medical background so this was important to me. Therefore, I chose to go to go to my annual eye visit with Dr. Jhaveri this week. I have diabetes so seeing a doctor is very important for my eyes. If you have not seen this office before, you will not regret going, in fact, I hope you will be impressed, as I was.
I had a unique eye situation that was unable to pinpoint exactly what the situation was. This went on over a year. I had seen multiple eye doctors whom where no help until Dr. jhaveri came to my rescue. He performed a couple prShow moreocedures and finally after 2 years later I have 20/20 vision again. Chirag Jhaveri, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist at Retina Consultants of Austin. Dr. Jhaveri provides retinal surgery to patients in Austin, Lakeway, Marble Falls, and Round Rock, Texas.
Dr. Jhaveri completed his undergraduate education at the University of Texas at Austin, where he was a part of an accelerated honors program. After graduating, he returned to his hometown in Houston and attended the Baylor College of Medicine.
He later received internship training at the Emory University School of Medicine, as well as residency training at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center and the Ochsner Medical Center, where served as a chief resident during his senior year. He then completed an intense fellowship in vitreo-retinal diseases and surgery at Northwestern University in Chicago gaining invaluable experiences in rare retinal diseases.
Dr. Jhaveri holds special interest in complex vitreoretinal diseases as well as common eye conditions like diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration.
As an integral member of the practice family since 2012, Dr. Jhaveri is proud to provide expert eye care in vitreo-retinal diseases to patients at Retina Consultants of Austin. He also served as vice chairman of the Diabetic Retinopathy Clinical Research Network (DRCR).
Dr. Jhaveri is actively involved in research for new and better treatment options for retinal diseases at Austin Research Center for Retina and is part of numerous clinical trials as principal investigator and sub-investigator. He has also published several papers.
Dr. Jhaveri is fluent in Hindi and Gujarati.
