I had a very weird experience today with one of the ladies at the checkout counter. In simple terms she was blunt in her responses didn’t seem to care about your questions. A simple request like is their water so I can eat my medsShow more was a big deal and a instant no followed by okay let me see. A simple question of breakdown of a heavy bill of 434 seemed like it was annoying her. Didn’t get her name but this was on 3/1 at the Katy Methodist office. Dr Qureshi was pleasant and welcoming and great as usual. If it was not for Dr Qureshi I would not at all drive from sugar land to endocrine center for my dr visits. Patients need to be treated as customers. This is not a charity organization. I just paid 434 dollars for an office visit. I at least expect some politeness from the staff.
I had to wait awhile for info from my doctor to be sent to Dr. Michaelis. After receiving it, she proceeded to ask me some pertinent questions and sent me to the Lab for Vitamin D3 blood test..She thoroughly explained the bone denShow moresity measurements in the 4 areas by drawing a simple T-chart showing me my results and how I fit into each area. I really appreciated and for the first time had an understanding of my Osteoporosis. I left her office feeling happy and thankful for my visit with Dr. Michaelis. I would give her a five rating!!!
Christina Michaelis, MD, is a board certified physician specializing in endocrinology and metabolism at The Endocrine Center. Dr. Michaelis practices with the team of endocrinology, diabetes, and thyroid specialists at the practice’s Main Campus and Methodist West locations in Houston, Texas.
Dr. Michaelis was born and raised in the Houston area and is happy to be serving the community in which she was raised. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Texas at Austin and her medical degree at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. She continued at UT Southwestern Medical Center for her residency in internal medicine and later completed a fellowship in endocrinology and metabolism at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.
At The Endocrine Center, Dr. Michaelis enjoys treating patients with a wide variety of medical conditions, particularly diabetes, thyroid and parathyroid disease, and osteoporosis. She also has a special interest in thyroid nodules and thyroid cancer after spending a year during her fellowship doing research on thyroid nodules and thyroid cancer at MD Anderson Cancer Center.

Dr. Michaelis is great. Highly recommend. Not easy to get into see, but that's because she has so many patients. Make your appointment early. Office hours early on Thursdays help if you need that. And at Methodist West too.

Dr. Qureshi is great. Takes his time with you and doesn’t rush. The lab person I had didn’t seem to happy…she looked at the list of people she had to draw labs for and said “I guess I’m not going to get a lunch…”. That is my only complaint. Dr Qureshi himself and staff are great.
