You can tell this Office gives a lot of thought to its Patients. They have many Drs w many patients they move thru quickly and efficiently. You know it had to take much thought and effort do it right. If it’s your first time, getShow more there early to fill in your ‘paperwork.’ For us, it was 2 actual pieces of paper to describe injuries. Turn that in and I was given an iPad w admin questions and my Ins info pre loaded (that which I gave when scheduling my appt), so it was able to tell me what my co pay was and charge me there in my seat w the attached credit card swipe thing. So that was done and I was given a beeper so I could wait in my car if I wanted. Ten minutes before our appt time it went off. Into the back we went, placed in a room and within minutes a pre-doctor, forget her name but extremely pleasant, like everyone there, came in and went over my daughter’s injury complaints, questions and such that we needed to get off our chest. Very soon after that, like minutes, Dr Birch comes in. Looks at some old X-rays we brought in CD, but doesn’t even need to because he has familiarized himself w my daughter’s case ahead of time and has a plan worked out, which he described to us and was ready to implement. Coming from Kaiser, where the process would have taken months if anything was done at all, we could not have felt more blessed and grateful that such a Drs office and Dr like Dr Birch exists. Minutes instead of months, thank goodness.
PA Worden was very nice and explained the treatment plan and epidural procedure well. Front desk staff that was not helpful when I told them I could not sit and needed a place to place complete the intake forms. I found a smallShow more counter in a hallway but it was so akward I fell down. Someone eventually found a small room where I could lie down. There was also a lot of confusion between Alta and Pueblo Radiology re Pueblo’s need to review the spinal X-rays your off ice took. After many phone calls your office agreed to provide my X-rays husband for $10.00 but would not provide the X-rays directly to Pueblo. We brought the CD w/ X-rays to the Pueblo epidural appointment but they said it was too late and couldn’t use them. The epidural went fine but the radiologist only injected one area— not two areas as you directed. He relied ONLY on the MRI and refused to view or keep the X-ray CD from your office that we brought with us

Afterward, he earned his medical degree from the University of California San Diego, where he was a Health Equity Scholar.
Dr. Birch went on to complete his general surgery internship and orthopaedic residency at the University of Vermont. While there, he served on the residency selection committee for two years and the graduate medical education quality council for four. Adding a final flourish to his academic credentials, Dr. Birch joins the Alta Orthopaedics team from one of the most sought-after total joint and lower extremity reconstruction fellowships in the country at Indiana University.

Life changing experience, Dr. Birch is an amazing provider and communicates well with his patiences. Diagnosed my problem quickly and offered options for my care. Before discussing my problem with him I had talked to 4 other specialist who couldn't seem to find the problem. Took him a few x-rays and with his vast experience and knowledge diagnosed my problem in a few minutes. Because of him I can walk without pain and live my life to the fullest. Ray B
I was there to see Dr Birch and got right in. The girl got all the info and left. Several minutes a PA showed up and went over the questions over the computer and seemed satisfied with how things were going and asked if I had any questions. I did show her my incision and she asked if I wanted to see the doctor and I felt I didn't need to bother him, so said no and I was on my way. Pretty simple.Made an appt for three months and was out of there. So far so good!
