Prior to seeing Dr. Suykerbuyk, I saw 4 other 'podiatrists', none of whom offered the same type of care as Dr. Suykerbuyk and his staff. One wonders if those 4 and the Dr. are in the same field, share the same standard of care. ThShow moree two vary not only in degree but kind. It was detailed and thorough, involving x-rays, the choice of Tx as well as a nature of the Dr. he had great footside manner, most notable in his show of great patience, listening to my long story. In short, I wish I had seen him sooner; it would have precluded the worsening of my Foot Drop, preempting years of mental and physical suffering. What I have said is validated by his crowded waitroom. Oviously, I am not the only one who feels this way.
Dr. Suykerbuyk is a great guy. He answers all my questions and helps me a great deal with my arthritis. I have been going to him for about 9 years and have never had a complaint.

He completed a residency in forefoot, rearfoot, and ankle surgery at the Carl T. Hayden VA in Phoenix, Arizona, and began practicing in Gilbert shortly thereafter.

He is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and is board certified in foot surgery. As surgery experiences go, Dr. Suykerbuyk repairing my bone spur was excellent across every one of the aspects! Four decades of beating the tar out of myself--running, hiking, racquetball, martial arts, and sword fighting--and my foot developed an early form of arthritis, a bone spur. It prevented my big toe from bending up and thus prevented that simple thing called walking. Doc fixed it. Original recovery schedule was likely to be the full-size boot for two, possibly up to four, weeks; then driving boot for another two to four weeks. Post-surgery, in my typical fashion, I was exceptionally disciplined about following doc's therapy instructions. I went back for my follow-up meeting with doc two weeks and a day after surgery. He was visibly surprised with my progress, cleared me to drive, cleared me to cycle, and no boot whatsoever! Three weeks after surgery I was able to submerse it in the bath. Now, four weeks after surgery, and flexibility is excellent. I've cycled a dozen rides, each one the typical eight-mile lap. It's still only just a little bit swollen.
We ordered orthotics for my dad. They came in a timely manner. Dr Suykerbuyk is a good communicator and cares about helping Dad get his feet feeling better. We have seen the doctor for multiple things and each time, we have been seen promptly and we have had good care.
