Dr. Chukwunwike Okafor, MD

Dr. Chike Okafor is a fellowship-trained Sports Medicine physician and founder of Vertex Sports Medicine in Manhattan, New York. He specializes in non-operative orthopedic care, sports injury management, musculoskeletal ultrasound, ultrasound-guided procedures, regenerative medicine, weight management, and primary care. Dr. Okafor completed his Sports Medicine fellowship at Duke University, where he cared for athletes across multiple sports, including football, basketball, lacrosse, and volleyball. He completed his Family Medicine residency at Montefiore Medical Center and earned his medical degree from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. His approach focuses on identifying the root cause of pain and dysfunction through comprehensive evaluations, movement assessments, and advanced diagnostic tools.
