I am not a great patient, a great nurse but not a great patient. I waited a long time after my initial injury to even be seen as I am not from here originally and only dealt with MD’s in Boston. It took me almost 2 years to decideShow more on a PCP when I moved down here. When I went to her for this, and she gave me Dr. Covington’s name, I waited on the referral. I literally asked other RN’s I worked with, some Dr’s I worked with and did an internet search (I know, a little overboard) then got the referral. I could not have been more pleased from the initial visit, to the surgery, and (so far) the post-op. I met a man while we were waiting to do our pre-op testing. He was having the same procedure that I was. He told me that ‘Dr. Covington is the best; this is the second time for me and as soon as it happened I knew I would go to no one else ’. I am hoping I will NOT have to have it done again, but if need be, I know that there is no one else I would go to.
I am totally satisfied with the doctor, the treatment, and I love his bedside manner. What I did not like this last time was the super long wait to be seen!! My appointment was at 4:20. I checked in at 3:50. I wasn’t called bacShow morek til after 5:20 and then waited another 15 minutes or so in the room! That is TOO long a wait when you have to wait more than an hour to be seen when you do your part and get there before your appointment time like you’re asked and then have to wait that long! I was getting ready to say re-schedule me! But I was hurting and needed my injection; besides I drive in from HONDO. I left there around 6:00 and faced the sun in my eyes all the way home. I was very nervous driving back home with the sun in my face! And yes, I was wearing sunglasses. I hope I don’t have to wait that long next time.

During this first follow up appointment, the family appreciated the thorough explanations of the surgery, review of X-rays, expected results, length of time for recovery, and required therapies. We did not feel rushed through the visit.

Ortho Cody Covington is the finest of perhaps a dozen orthopedists I have experienced in 50 years of orthopedic care in three countries, seven states, and perhaps 10 clinics. Perhaps is greatest skill is his facility to listen to his patience, to collect what they are experiencing, and to effectively translate that knowledge in ways that ensure the patient receives treatment that improves quality of life. I keenly appreciate encountering Doctor Covington and that he serves in a setting that supports his efforts to relieve my pain.
Very Friendly and he does the job very well and understood. I recommend him to all the patient who have knee problems like what I did thank you.

Understand the delay, and appreciate the reason of emergency surgery. I only wonder if a heads up by email or text would have alleviated our concern about being late because of the parking fiascos.

The staff are extremely profession and provide great care the moment you enter the front ate and sign in. The receptionist greet you immediately and quickly get to work getting you in and seen. Dr. Covington is great and provides great explanations of his diagnosis and his recommendations. I am glad to have stumbled into this office.
Dr. Covington listens very carefully to his patient when I was with him and his office or whenever I saw him it was as though I was his only patient very caring person and very personable
