I had two knee replacements performed during the covid time frame. All of the pre hospital testing was performed at the hospital except an overall health clearance by my primary MD. My surgeries went smoothly. Since I am allergicShow more to anesthesia, my anesthesiologists made appropriate adjustments, and all went well. This is a painful process and it is nice to know that all the people involved are great . The wisest words that I was told were “ recovery is now your job! Work at the exercises for the best recovery” I am a bit of a dawdler but with time , I Fully recovered. Most people do 2 knees because they really do work.
The check in was not smooth because I was 5 minutes late. I thought I had completed the paperwork but was sharply told I had not and would have to reschedule and pay $25 so I said Ok what ever. Then she said maybe they could workShow more me in, again I said what ever. I finished the paper work. Did not have to wait long to see the doctor. His visit was very pleasant and helpful. I did take a list of exercises and will go back later for a shot in the hip. Other than a rocky ckeck in the visit went well.

Dr. Tubb earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas. He completed his Orthopaedic Surgery residency at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington and Adult Reconstructive / Joint Replacement fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. Prior to joining New Braunfels Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine in 2017, Dr. Tubb attained the rank of Colonel and retired from the military with over 20 years of service in the U.S. Army. During his military service, he served in numerous leadership positions and was deployed as an orthopaedic surgeon to Baghdad, Iraq and Helmand Province, Afghanistan.
Dr. Tubb has extensive orthopaedic surgery experience with particular expertise in hip and knee joint replacements to include minimally invasive, robotic, complex primary, and revision surgery. He remains an active member of numerous professional societies to include the American Orthopaedic Association, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, and Society of Military Orthopaedic Surgeons. Through these organizations, he has served on multiple committees and work groups focused on improving musculoskeletal care at the national level. He is well-published with multiple scientific articles and textbook chapters to his credit. Dr. Tubb focuses his professional life toward optimizing patient function and quality of life for those faced with hip and knee conditions or other musculoskeletal injuries.

Experience with the Dr. Was very good. The front desk personnel are quite rude though.
Dr Tubb is kind and considerate. He has replaced both my knees and every appointment has been met with patience and professionalism. I have recommended him and your practice to many people and encouraged them to at least go hear what Dr Tubb thinks even if they aren’t ready to commit to a surgical plan.

Dr Tubb is a gifted surgeon with extensive experience. He listens to your concerns and answers your questions clearly. The office runs like a well made timepiece.
Dr.Tubb was extremely professional and did a great job with my hip replacement. He gave me choices for the posterior or anterior procedures which he can do both ways and after consulting with friends who did the new anterior approach, I was delighted with the way it turned out for me. The staff at Resolute was outstanding and they have the equipment to do anterior approaches so choose your hospital accordingly. The coordination with physical therapy both pre and post-op was also well coordinated.
Despite the fact that my hip was broken, I had a great experience with Dr Tubb and staff. I went to the hospital on Tuesday, had surgery on Wednesday and was discharged on Friday. I am walking and getting around with a walker, but feel my recovery is going to be quick.

Dr. Tubbs was professional and listened to me thoroughly. He ask many questions and even asked if I was getting help about another issue. Towards the end he had given me not only instructions on what to do and keep doing he also gave me options if things do not get better. Also the staff was courteous, careful and business like.
Appointment was timely. Dr. Tubb took the time to explain everything I wanted to know about knee replacement. No pressure, he left it in my hands to tell him when I'm ready. Excellent first visit.
Never have to wait long and answers all my questions
Dr Tubb's Office runs like a welled oiled machine. I always experience a short wait in the waiting room, I'm then taken to an exam room where an assistant (nurse, PA, etc.) Reviews my issues, and then I see Dr. Tubb and we review how he can help me. He, as well as his staff, is very professional and puts me at ease. I trust his knowledge and treatment of my issues. He always offers me options and allows me to choose what I feel is best for me. I sincerely can't say enough good things to say about him.
