Dana O’Connor, DNP, CNM, is a certified nurse midwife at Oakland Macomb Obstetrics & Gynecology, P.C. in Rochester Hills and Troy, Michigan. Dana takes a holistic approach to care, providing medical support that encourages your wellness in all aspects of your health care.
Dana attended Saginaw Valley State University in University Center, Michigan. She then worked as a labor and delivery nurse assistant at Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak. During that time, she was working on completing her certifications in holistic nursing and electronic fetal monitoring (EFM). After obtaining her certifications, she went on to pursue her master’s degree in nursing at Frontier Nursing University.
She joined Oakland Macomb Obstetrics & Gynecology, P.C., in 2017, but moved to Denver, Colorado with her family in 2021. She returned to the practice in 2023 and is excited to be back home in Michigan.
Outside of clinical practice, Dana enjoys spending time with her son, husband, and their energetic dog named Theo. They love everything that the Michigan community has to offer, including the good food, skiing, parks, taking trips to the lake, and outings to downtown Detroit.

Dr. Kennedy is so understanding and allows the time the patient needs during the visit. She placed my 2nd IUD and it was a 100% better experience than with my 1st IUD placed by another physician.
Appts for mammo and exam were on time and easy because they schedule both at the same time and they are both in the same building. Staff is wonderful. Dr. Peng is amazing. Takes a lot of time with her patient. Is very gentle.
