About Dana Taglin

Mental health is both my profession and my passion. As a counselor, my goal is to provide a safe and supportive environment that is thoughtfully tailored to each client’s unique needs. With nearly a decade of experience in nonprofit roles and a personal journey of transitioning fully into the mental health field, I believe I bring a distinctive perspective that enriches my ability to guide and support clients on their paths to growth and healing. I believe that mental wellness is a pillar of living the life we aspire to and both our past and present play significant roles in understanding ourselves. First and foremost, I take a client centered approach to understand what type of counseling works best for each individual. In my work with clients, I often draw on CBT, DBT, and psychodynamic approaches to support clients. This can mean a space for processing, understanding, or transforming thought patterns and behaviors. I also prioritize a multicultural perspective, recognizing the profound influence of our backgrounds, cultures, and identities on our experiences. I aim to create an environment that welcomes feedback and reflection on the unique dynamic between us to help ensure our sessions align with your needs and goals. By establishing open communication and collaboration, we can create a space tailored to you.
