Doctor Dan Buchalter is an amazing physician and an even more amazing person. As a health care professional my entire working life, I am so impressed with his compassion, expertise, and most of all his genuine interest in me as a person, not just another patient. I could not ask for a better physician. He is wise beyond his years.
The doctor was informative, hospitable knowledgeable, took his time explain things to me and came up with a plan. I felt better when I left there then when I walked in, highly recommend Daniel.

Dr Carlesi has been my doctor for over a decade. I had been searching for several years to find the right doctor for me. Even though I am an RN and in the medical field for over 30 years, it was not that simple for me. After an injury causing herniated discs, etc.,… which caused unbearable pain almost constantly which in the beginning It felt like it started from the top of my head to my toes. I had previously seen,orthopedic specialists/pain management, neurologist, who were telling me there was nothing they could do for me. For some reason, their first thought was invasive surgery and two of the doctors said that I would not even survive surgery so there was nothing they could do for me I was overwhelmed physically and mentally. How would I be able to live the rest of my life feeling the way I did at that time. Then I was referred to Dr. CARLESI !! He is not only extremely knowledgeable, Think out of the box but he is one of the most compassionate people and Drs I have met. There ARE alternatives other than major surgery that can at least lessen the pain !!! I searched for a couple years to find the right Dr until I got it right. I absolutely recommend Dr Carlesi to anyone who is looking for relief from the constant overwhelming suffering, that people like me with chronic and acute pain deal with.
I can truly say my high expectations were still exceeded. Dr. Dan is the total package. The surroundings of the Center and the support staff are unique in my opinion. I am sooo grateful. Thank you across the board!

I can’t say enough positive things about Somers Orthopedics.. but in particular, Dr Daniel Buchalter. After “interviewing” 5 different surgeons for my bilateral hip replacements, at 4 different hospitals including 2 of the “top best” in NYC, I chose Dr Daniel Buchalter. He checked all the boxes and then some. Dr Daniel Buchalter’s educational biography was most impressive and his personality was unmatched to all the other surgeons I met with (in a good way). Plus, orthopedic surgery is in his blood, his dad is one of the best as well. I chose Dr Daniel Buchalter for many reasons and I am so grateful I did. He replaced my right hip May 1st (perfection) and I will be having him replace my left hip this August. It has been a game changer in my life (in a good way) . Surgery is always the last resort and there is so much to consider. I felt completely at ease with the entire staff/facility but mostly because I knew I chose the right Dr from the minute I met him. I booked my first surgery immediately after my consult apt. with him. I have already recommended Dr Daniel Buchalter to many clients and family members. I can’t thank Dr Daniel Buchalter enough for making my experience so comfortable and taking away my hip pain. I am looking forward to August for him to complete my “pain free, new hip journey” . Ps I always expect a wait at any Drs office. Don’t worry if you have a wait it is well worth it. Plus they give everyone equal attention and I have never felt rushed.
