Visiting David for the first time, I actually did not want to be there. So I told him that and he said if you don't wanna be here you don't have to stay which was different from other psychiatrists that i've seen. ThatShow more being said he really listened to what I had to say asked me a couple questions and at the end, prescribe me some medication, that is actually working for the first time. That's the reason why I don't like going to psychiatrists. For me personally i felt like they weren't listening
I’ve been seeing David Avila for a few sessions, and he has been extremely helpful throughout the process. He is very understanding, compassionate, and truly an active listener. He makes me feel heard and validated, and I never feShow moreel dismissed when discussing my symptoms or concerns. I appreciate how attentive and professional he is in each appointment. He takes the time to genuinely listen, understand and to respond with empathy and care. He creates a comfortable and supported environment.

David Avila, NP is good at what he does. He listens to me and my needs without being dismissive, he answers my question and makes me feel comfortable to talk to him. He works with me in regards to my treatment. I would definitely recommend him to others.
David is the best psychiatrist I have had. He really cares how my life is going associated with my medication needs and not just about the right dose of the right meds and bottom lines. He is also super personable and laid back who h helps me feel more comfortable being honest with him about my struggles with my disorder and more! Highly recommend him to anyone, especially if you have a mental illness like me.
He went through my medicine. He was very knowledgeable and we are going to try a new medication. Hopefully this will help
