The Office personnel were great from the time we walked in until we left. I even got to say good bye to the lady that took us back to our room to wait for the doctor she was great and friendly the way the staff is supposed to be.Show more After that the people on the eleventh floor were not too nice. But I want to stay with Doctor Carroll so I will put up with the bad ladies that handle the follow up and scheduling. If they don't like their jobs they need to find another job. David Carroll, MD, is a skilled obesity medicine specialist at Lakeland Surgical Clinic, PLLC, in Jackson, Mississippi. He joined Lakeland Surgical Clinic in January 2024, and is excited to welcome new and returning patients.
Dr. Carroll is a 1988 graduate of Texas Tech University’s School of Medicine and completed his surgical internship and residency at University Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas. Dr. Carroll graduated with honors from medical school and is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. He later moved to Jackson in 1998 and opened a private practice. He has enjoyed personally training dozens of providers over the years in general and bariatric surgery.
Dr. Carroll is a Diplomate of the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Obesity Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery and is a member of the Obesity Medicine Association and Mississippi State Medical Association. He is on staff at Baptist Health Systems, St. Dominic Hospital, and Merit Health River Oaks, where he conducts clinic on a weekly basis. He also works closely with three local hospitals to care for and provide weight loss surgery through their accredited bariatric clinics.

Dr. Carroll, his NP Jennifer, and staff were the absolute best. From taking time to see me to answer any question. Also, gave clear instruction for post-op care. Very professional, and attentiveness to every detail.

I have had a very good experience throughout the whole process. I had a lap and taken out and gastric sleeve surgery. It’s a week and a half post op. I am doing well. Everyone has been informative and polite.
