I saw Dr Starch’s PAs for my 2-week follow up after total knee replacement. The waterproof bandage was removed, staples removed and sterile-strips applied to the incision. The knee looked great to me—minimal swelling, no visible bShow moreruising, incision is still healing, using a cane instead of the walker. The PA seemed pleased with the knee bend angle & was able to get my leg flat. They advised me to keep wearing TED hose, use Knee Immobilizer 3 more weeks, keep knee dry by wrapping in plastic wrap while showering, start PT at a facility following this week’s Home Health PT. The next follow up is in 4 weeks. I’m very pleased so far—doing your PT faithfully has made a difference. Plus I think preparing yourself before the surgery helps: I exercised daily for 3 month in advance, maintained a healthy diet & lost 30 lbs. Stay positive!
I was referred to Dr. Starch by a previous patient of his. He had both knees replaced 13 years apart and had no issues. After researching Drs in the area and checking on stats I decided to try Dr. starch. My issue is a knee replacShow moreement. I had a serious sport injury in 1983 and the fix they did lasted 39 years (last 15 in pain). Everyone in the practice was excellent to work with. The PAs were very easy to work with and Dr. Starch was there on the first visit and available throughout the process of the knee replacement, talked to me via phone and in person throughout. I followed his protocol and healed nicely. I am currently still doing PT, but I have nothing but positive comments of working with the Dr. Starch and his team.
