This past Tuesday was my third appointment at TDI. My first two appointments went really well. I had the most thorough exam by Dr. Joshi that I've ever had in a pain management clinic during my first visit. Dr. Joshi and Kandis boShow moreth showed great empathy towards me and the pain with which I am suffering. The 2nd appointment was with the nurse practitioner, Sheilah Futral. She was also great and so helpful. My third appointment was to get 2 injections in my Sacroiliac joints under twilight anesthesia. Dr. Mitchell and his staff were all so personable, organized, and knowledgeable. They put me at ease before, during, and after the injections. The nurse easily found my vein on the first try for my IV even though this has been a problem at other facilities in the past. The nurses, staff, Dr. Mitchell, and the anesthesiologist were so friendly and explained everything so I'd know what to expect. They even joked around with me which helped to reduce my anxiety even more prior to the procedure. I didn't feel any pain during the procedure. Afterwards, I felt a slight bruised feeling at the injection site, but that is to be expected. Today, my back feels quite a bit better. What is weird is that I have some pain gone in places I didn't know I had pain! I thought I had little to no pain while I was sitting and when I was in bed, but I slept so much better last night, woke up and realized that my back and legs felt different. I'm still having pain in my back and legs when I bend or twist, which I believe is disc pain. I am hopeful that my insurance will authorize several MRIs, so that we can see what's going on in quite a few other places on my body. I've realized my body is like a huge puzzle. Every time I get one issue helped or remedied, it's like another piece of the puzzle has fallen into place. I'm grateful that Dr. Mitchell, Dr. Joshi and the staff at TDI have solved another piece of the puzzle and I have faith that, together, we will continue to fit more pieces together gradually!
Last visit to have epidural went great this time. I got to see the Dr physician before going over to get my epidural on last visit 1/20/2023. I didn’t have a long wait got back fast everyone was nice to me. The only problem I saw Show morewas the head nurse was very rude to another patient. She repeated to the patient at least 10 times like she didn’t understand what she was saying. The patient lady said she understood what she was saying but this nurse would not quit repeating like she was stupid are couldn’t understand. I believe this was the head nurse she needs training on how to treat patients. The patient finally had enough and put a stop to the continuous repeating. After patient left she called someone and was talking badly about the procedure that was told the PA and set up meeting to make sure everyone understood how system works. I felt so bad for the patient she was repeating the same thing that she had already said she understood. It was obvious to everyone see was mad at the PA and was talking it out on patient. The conversation should had took place in private not for everyone to her. I am very satisfied with DR Mitchell and my PA i understand you can’t control all employees actions this is just to let you know so this will not happen to somebody again. Thank to everyone else for doing a great job!!!
Dr. Davin Mitchell is a native of Georgia. After high school, he pursued a bachelor’s degree in Biology and graduated with honors from Morehouse College in 1997. He then spent two years focusing on psychology by working at Charter Midtown Psychiatric facility and answering crisis calls on a suicide hotline. In 2000, he entered medical school at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. Upon graduation in 2004, Dr. Mitchell started a yearlong internship in Internal Medicine at St. John’s hospital, also located in Detroit, where he learned the fundamentals of many medical fields.
Dr. Mitchell decided to specialize in Anesthesiology and thus engaged in training at Duke University’s world-renowned anesthesiology program. There, he developed a reputation as an exceptional clinician in surgical procedures. He was thus invited to participate in Duke University’s prestigious Pain Management fellowship program and completed it successfully in 2009.
After fellowship, Dr. Mitchell returned to Georgia. Despite being recruited by large practices in Atlanta, he settled in LaGrange and founded Total Diagnostic and Interventional Pain in 2010, with the specific intent of bringing superior care to patients in need. Since then, Dr. Mitchell has worked tirelessly to safely manage pain for the community of LaGrange and the surrounding areas.
In his limited free time, he enjoys singing (as many have heard), golfing (or as he calls it “gardening” since he spends so much time in the weeds), and donating to charity when he can.

Awesome service!
I get my back procedures from Dr. Mitchell and he is wonderful. He honestly cares about his patients. I just wish when we have an issue with the other side like our nurse practitioner and that nursing staff we could meet and talk to Dr. Mitchell. I do not like the office manager he does not listen to SOME of the patients. But love the surgery side

I am please with Dr. Davin, however I feel like the staff as a whole really needs to work on their professionalism. I have had several instances where they have been very unprofessional, and rude.
I love Dr. Mitchell I’m usually face down when he comes in lol. But I know when music is playing all is good.
To Long a process my appointment time was 9:20 I was there at 9:00 and wasn't seen till 10:55 other than that it was fine I feel a lot better thank you

I’m beginning to get cramps in my left hip joint and my right hip joint seems to collapse or give way sometimes. I feel better already! My prayer is NO MORE PAIN in my lower back!!!!
Staff is very nice. The wait times while in the facility for injections are quite long. Other than that, I don’t have any other issues with TDI

I had a very wonderful experience every thing went well. Everyone was very nice.
In the procedure room could use a little more consideration of the patient’s possible level of pain while assisting patient to the gurney.
Dr. Davin Mitchell is the first doctor to ever do injections to my lower back that actually give me pain relief. So thankful for him and his practice. Plus, he listens to great music!

I would recommend Dr. Michell at total diagnostic pain center to my family and friends; and, I have already recommend him to them. I started coming to total diagnostic pain center because a friend of mine recommended Dr. Michell to me. And I am so happy that she did because my severe back pain and leg pain is more manageable and I feel like I have more control since over the pain since I started seeing Dr. Michell. Everyone very professional & nice....the wait time wasn't too long, I didn't like being prep for procedure waiting for Physician was cold & no blanket to cover during my wait period .overall wonderful staff....keep up the great work....
Dr Mitchell and his team are friendly, compassionate and professional. Dr Mitchell had great bedside manner. His only concern is your recovery and wellbeing. Recommend him to anyone coping with pain.
