Dr. Deepti-Sagar Varma, MD

I am a child and Adolescent psychiatrist trained at Rutgers New Jersey Medical school and Board certified in both General Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. I have been in practice for over 10 years and specialize in medication treatments for ADHD, Oppositional defiant disorder, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, Autism spectrum disorder and tic disorders. I pursue a working alliance with families, schools, therapists, and pediatricians, including the review of prior assessments, as the basis of the treatment plan. My approach is to start with a thorough diagnosis and formulate a plan that includes medications, psychotherapy, diet, exercise, sleep hygiene, lab work and other lifestyle modifications to provide an individual treatment plan for each of my patients. As I develop a relationship with my patients and their family I strive to understand their issues and concerns to better cater to my patient's needs.
