Dr. Deirdre Johnson Gundy is a board-certified gynecologist with over 30 years of experience. A graduate of Drexel University College of Medicine, she completed her residency at prestigious institutions including the Hahnemann University Hospital.
Dr. Deirdre Johnson Gundy previously served as an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Drexel University College of Medicine and led the implementation of a minimally invasive gynecologic surgery program at Mercy Philadelphia Hospital in 2012. Most recently, she was an Assistant Clinical Professor at Stony Brook University Hospital. She is passionate about training the next generation of physicians and has mentored numerous residents in advanced surgical techniques.

I have never seen this provider before. She came into the examination room. Told me to change my IUD, gave me a pelvic exam and was leaving the room in under 6 minutes. Total for the entire visit for a patient she had never seen. She didn’t even ask me what I was there for or if I had any concerns. Then said you seem overwhelmed- wouldn’t most people be considering the absolute lack of bedside manner? This is a medical provide who is suppose to be addressing concerns and getting a little more information from their new patients. It’s sad really because other women will go there expecting care and will get whatever can be addressed in six minutes or less.
Clean office the staff was professional and welcoming. Dr. Kapoor was attentive and friendly made me feel at ease.

I was very anxious before an appointment but all medical staff that assist me was very nice and professional. Then I met the doctor Monica Kapoor and all my fears are disappear. She explained to me the procedure, the findings and the treatment. I was relaxed and very grateful to all wonderful team. I get my prescribed medication this morning and I fill much better today. Dr. Gundy was absolutely wonderful! I am typically very nervous at OBGYN appointments and this was my first meeting with her, but it wad the most seamless and enjoyable visit I have ever had.
Dr. Gundy has excellent bed side manners. She was very kind, knowledgeable, and made me feel very comfortable in what can very easily be an uncomfortable setting.
I’m baffled by the disrespect. I showed up to my appointment early morning, and the whole office was closed. I was late for work for nothing. Myself and other people waited 30 minutes for anyone to show up or call. I never received a follow up call to reschedule, and when I asked to see the doctor at a different time, she was only available one hour before the office closes (4pm). They have too many clients to have the audacity to be careless about others time.
Loved loved loved her! She’s so kind and actually listens to your concerns and takes them seriously. She is the first gyno that’s ever wanted to look at my hormones and it meant the world to have someone look into it. Highly recommend!
