Dr. Delmon James Samala, NP

James Samala, DNP, APRN, PMHNP-BC (He/Him) is a board-certified Doctor of Nursing Practice and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner committed to delivering compassionate, evidence-based, and integrative mental health care. He earned his doctorate from Rutgers University and holds dual licensure in New York and New Jersey. With over eight years of clinical experience as a registered nurse in psychiatry, medical-surgical, and outpatient settings, Dr. Samala offers a well-rounded, patient-centered approach to care. Originally from the Philippines and now based in Brooklyn, NY. Dr. Samala is deeply committed to expanding access to quality mental health care in marginalized communities. Outside of his clinical work, he is an avid skier in the winter and enjoys returning to the Philippine islands in the summer to reconnect with his roots. James is excited to be a part of the dynamic, patient focused, and holistic-minded team at Modern Integrative Psychiatry.
