Meet Dr. Umpierrez- Morley
Denise Umpierrez-Morley, MD, FACOG, is an OB/GYN who joined the team at Atlanta Obstetrics & Gynecology Associates in 2019. She is dedicated to providing women’s health care services to patients in Atlanta, Georgia.
After completing her residency at Columbia University Medical Center in New York and an advanced pelvic surgery fellowship at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, Dr. Umpierrez-Morley joined the team at Atlanta Obstetrics & Gynecology Associates.
At the practice, Dr. Umpierrez-Morley provides a full range of obstetrics and gynecology services. She has a special interest in pelvic surgery, abnormal uterine bleeding, adolescent and sexual health, and contraception management. To better accommodate the diverse communities in the Atlanta-area, Dr. Umpierrez-Morley is also fluent in Spanish.
Dr. Umpierrez-Morley currently lives in Midtown with her husband, daughter, and their pet beagle. In addition to spending time with her family, she likes exercising, yoga, traveling, photography, and cooking.

I have been seeing Dr. Barrett for 30 years. So sorry to see him retire. Congratulations and enjoy many years of retirement.
Scheduling the appointment was very easy, and I was able to check in online ahead of time. Dr Barratt is kind, attentive, answers all my questions, and thorough with his examination. When asked he recommended a physician to replace himself since he is retiring. After seeing him I was able to have a mammogram completed in the same building even though I did not have a scheduled appointment saving me another trip into Atlanta from Senoia. I have been a patient at this practice for over 40 years and will continue seeing these doctors because I trust their judgement and appreciate their services.
Excellent, compassionate care
Dr Barratt is the best doctor I and my daughter have ever had in all these trusted 20 years. He cares, is kind and meticulous- NEVER reflects anything but a Pleasant demeanor no matter a circumstance and always made us feel Calm and safe. There will Never be another like him, he will Be so very missed.

First time I've ever actually liked my provider. Even though I know she's busy, she never seems to be rushing away from patients and makes sure questions are answered. Dr UP has the most thoughtful and sincere demeanor, while being a true professional. My GYN retired and I wasn’t sure how I would like the replacement— but please know I would give 100 stars if available. Dr UP is warm and genuine. She listened to my concerns and shared well rounded approaches backed with science and experience. She shared written materials and encouraged me to call her if I had any questions or concerns. I felt valued and respected. Additionally, the office ran with a very high level of efficiency, and I was in and out in less than 40 minutes.
Wonderful practice with great physicians, nice nurses, and staff. I didn’t wait long and always have a positive experience.
Dr. Umpierrez is the absolute best!!! I am so thankful I found her for this pregnancy and so grateful that she was on call to deliver my baby. Not only is she an incredible doctor, but she is also an amazing human. She truly cares about her patients and it shows. Truly the best of the best!
