My dad has gone here for years and today is the first time we have ever had an issue. I was unable to go with him today and called and asked that a note be put on his chart for the doctor and the young lady who answered told me thShow moreat he could just tell the doctor when he was there. I explained to her that he sometimes forgets things and asked if she could just put a note. She informed me charts were not pulled till patient arrived and he would just have to remember. I am a nurse and this was very unprofessional of her. Again, we love Dr Abrocham and till today, have NEVER had ANY issues. I don’t know if She is new or what but this was unacceptable IMO. I simply asked for a note to be placed on his chart for the doctor to inform him of an upcoming procedure my dad will be having.
My wife and I consider our relationship with Doctor Abochamh and the staff at Gulf Coast Cardiology Center as our friends. It matters a great deal when you are old and your health is failing to believe your physicians actually carShow moree for you. The first time I met Dr Abochamh I was in the hospital under great stress; his bright caring attitude won over me and all my family with me that day. I continue to feel confident in his abilities and believe that my faith in God guided me into the care of Dr Abochamh and the Gulf Coast Cardiology Group. It's a privilege to know them.
Dia Abochamh, MD, is a cardiovascular disease specialist at Gulf Coast Cardiology Group PLLC in Port Arthur, Texas. Dr. Abochamh moved to the Port Arthur area from Oklahoma City, where he had a very busy cardiology practice. Because the traffic in that area did not allow him to reach his patients in a timely manner in case of an emergency, he decided to move to a smaller city of Port Arthur so that he could provide his patients with the best care available, including emergency care.
Prior to being in Oklahoma City, he trained in cardiovascular diseases at Louisiana State University Health Science Center. He trained for four years in cardiology and sub-specialized in electrophysiology and arrhythmia therapy. He also had additional training in interventional cardiology and angioplasty of all vessels in the human body. He also performed a research echo fellowship at the University of Texas Health Science Center. He is board certified in internal medicine as well as cardiovascular disease. Dr. Abochamh has published several papers in reputed journals throughout his career.
Dr. Abochamh is a very nice and caring physician, and caring for patients is his prime goal. He spends time liberally with his patients to help them understand and follow his recommendations. Besides general and interventional cardiology, his other areas of interest include peripheral angioplasty, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, pacemaker placement, and heart failure management. He has privileges to perform his patient care in all area hospitals, including The Medical Center, St. Mary Hospital, and Renaissance Hospital.

The staff displayed exceptional kindness and professionalism throughout my visit. I underwent five tests, all of which were completed promptly with waiting times of less than 15 minutes between each. Additionally, I had the opportunity to consult with the doctor and receive my results following the conclusion of the final test.
