About Dorothy Jenicke, Student

Dorothy Jenicke earned her Psy.D. in Counseling Psychology from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota in 2025. She is currently a post-doctoral fellow and completing licensure requirements under the supervision of Dr. Justin King. In her practice, she focuses on understanding each client’s unique background and fostering an environment for authentic self-expression. Dr. Jenicke emphasizes creating a safe space for clients while integrating gender, cultural, and ethnic identity factors that are important to her clients in her clinical work. She employs a strengths-based and multicultural approach to therapy, guided by her core values. She is committed to exploring how clients’ life experiences, including family dynamics and societal factors, affect their well-being.
