My appt with Dr Scott was preceded with a young lady who went over completely my info on file. She was very pleasant and willing to take time for all my answers completely. Dr Scott came into the room with smiles on his face and Show morea willingness to work closely with my concerns. He took time with me and made suggestions to assist me and suggested I meet with Jamie Langford for additional assistance. All in all the staff that works at Boss Orthopedics are super duper.
Dr Scott is very quick in his discussions of the issue. He also explains it very well. I had L shoulder replacement and was very surprised that I had zero pain from post surgery. It’s been 3 months and I am about 90% mobile. StillShow more have a ways to go for total mobility but and very confident that will come in time
Dr. Scott is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon specializing in shoulder and elbow surgery at BOSS Orthopaedics in Beaufort, Bluffton, and Hilton Head Island, SC.
Dr. Scott’s expertise focuses on the shoulder and elbow, specifically in relation to sports medicine, trauma, minimally-invasive arthroscopy, replacement, and the complex reconstruction of these joints.
His training also included pediatric orthopaedics at the DuPont Institute and orthopaedic oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering during his residency. He also completed the prestigious orthopaedic shoulder and elbow fellowship at Brown University, focusing on the upper extremity, including shoulder resurfacing, total shoulder and reverse total shoulder replacement, as well as advanced minimally-invasive techniques of shoulder and elbow arthroscopy.
Since beginning practice in the Lowcountry in 2012, Dr. Scott has performed hundreds of shoulder and elbow surgeries annually and has been voted “Best Orthopaedist” by readers of a local magazine.
Dr. Scott is a board-certified diplomate of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is also a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and a member of numerous other professional orthopaedic and medical societies. He has authored peer-reviewed journal publications and academic book chapters for orthopaedic surgery, including being the lead author for a shoulder chapter in the 2025 edition of Orthopaedic Knowledge Update: Shoulder and Elbow 6.

Some problem with reception. Called me 3x to see doctor. He wasn’t ready for me yet. Confusion with reception.

Excellent visit. Recommended for a second opinion. He explained my MRI & X-Rays in layman terms making it easy to understand his recommendations. Equally important he took time to suggest changes to my exercise program while emphasizing its importance. Should I need surgery, he will be my first choice.
Waiting on insurance approval for mri on both biceps and lower back. He detailed surgery on biceps if necessary and awaiting results of future mri.
