I had a very productive appointment at Jordan Valley Dermatology yesterday. Dr. Forsha listened sincerely to my description and explanation of my skin problems. He put together what seems to me like a great plan to take careShow more of my problems with multiple treatment options. He seemed genuinely concerned about my care. His Medical Assistant, Ashley, did a smooth and painless job on the injections she gave me. She was very efficient in providing me with samples and getting a prescription called in for me to pick up in time before the pharmacy closed. Overall, I felt I received excellent care and I left the office feeling very pleased with my visit. I highly recommend Dr. Forsha and his staff.

I was seen for three separate skin concShow moreerns "one of which I had been treated for numerous times by my primary care physician with no positive results". On my first visit, Dr. Forsha knew exactly what was needed to get me taken care of and I am extremely pleased with the results. My visits there have been very pleasant and I would highly recommend Dr. Forsha and staff. They've been awesome !!
Douglass W. Forsha, MD, is an experienced dermatologist who has practiced since 1991 in the southwest suburbs of Salt Lake City and currently has his clnic at Jordan Valley Dermatology Center in South Jordan, UT.
He was born in Omaha, Nebraska. He attended the University of Utah and Brigham Young University, earning a BA degree in Asian studies in 1979. He then attended Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, obtaining his Doctor of Medicine degree in May 1985. He continued at Vanderbilt to complete a one-year internship in internal medicine. Dr. Forsha completed a residency in dermatology at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago in June 1989. He then practiced for 2 years in Aiken, South Carolina.
In July 1991, Dr. Forsha founded South Valley Dermatology, a center of excellence in the field of dermatology in West Jordan, Utah. During the ensuing 32 years, he honed his skills in the fields of medical, surgical, cosmetic, and research dermatology. Services offered by Dr. Forsha include - but are not limited to - treatment of acne, warts, eczema, psoriasis, rashes, and all of the various types of skin cancers. Additionally, Dr. Forsha has an interest in the cosmetic areas of dermatology. He has also become a prominent speaker for the pharmaceutical industry. Superficial Ratiation Therapy is a new service offered at his clinic where non-melanoma skin cancers can be treated painlessly in a non-surgical manner with a 99.3% cure rate.
During his residency, Dr. Forsha was selected to conduct dermatologic research on infants in Manipal, India, (1988). He also traveled to Zagora, Morocco to render charitable dermatologic care in 2008. On a personal note, Dr. Forsha is the father of a daughter, a son and a proud grandpa to Sofia and Petra, his two lovely granddaughters. His interests are broad and include reading and staying up to date with his field of dermatology and current events. He also enjoys traveling, especially by rail. Some of his favorite destinations include Hawaii, Europe, and Asia. In 1973-1974, at age 17, he was the youngest member of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. He always keeps a 40-minute memorized program of classical piano solo literature ready and invites anyone to twist his arm to play.

Dr. Forsha created a very calming environment in his office space. I was back for my annual inspection to keep all my spots from becoming cancerous. The good doc wields the freeze gun as a pro. I had to give a few skin samples. His knife skills are top notch. I'm always treated like a member of the family. Don't think I'll be going anywhere else for my dermatological needs.

It was my first time there and I was very impressed with the Doctor and the rest of his staff.
Dr forsha was very not personable saw him maybe for 3 min if that didn't give any eye contact I'm not impressed saw him years ago thought I would give him another try..
