Dr. Peterson does amazing work. I had stitches about 2 inches long on my cheek near my nose from removing Basil Cell Carcinoma, and you cant even tell where those stitches were. I just saw him today for the other cheek and he was Show moreso friendly and efficient. Praying this heals as well as the last one did.
Needed a MOHS procedure on my leg and Dr Peterson was quick, and proficient with the procedure. I had to go back twice for follow up and each time Dr Peterson was concise with his work and instructions. Plus he’s a cool guy, so yoShow moreu got that going for you!
Jeffrey E. Petersen, MD, FAAD, is a fellowship-trained dermatologist and MOHS surgeon at Missouri Dermatology Laser and Vein Center, which has locations in Fenton, Chesterfield, and O'Fallon, Missouri. He is board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology and is an active member of both the American Academy of Dermatology and the American College of MOHS Surgery.
Dr. Petersen completed his dermatology training at Indiana University School of Medicine and a skin cancer fellowship in MOHS micrographic surgery and reconstruction at the University of Texas Southwestern. He has been practicing dermatology since 2000.
Dr. Petersen has been the Mohs surgeon and held Assistant Professor positions at both Indiana University and Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis. He has also lectured and taught both nationally and internationally about skin cancer and diseases of the lower extremities.
Having lived abroad in Europe, Dr. Petersen is conversant in French. Outside of the office, Dr. Petersen enjoys spending time with his family and coaching youth football and baseball.

Not only is Dr Petersen thorough in telling my everything he is going to do and what I should expect he has an excellent way of keeping me relaxed and not tense during the procedure.
Dr. Petersen explained the procedure and recovery plan, explained the various options and the pros and cons, and answered all my questions in a very thoughtful way.
He’s the best!!
My procedure was minor but the staff and Dr Petersen took time to inform me of everything that would be done. During the procedure I was asked if I was comfortable with no pain and we kept up a conversation of my condition. It was a very relaxed visit.
