Dr. Stoddard operated on me for skin cancer on Sept. 16. It was my second bout with skin cancer, out-patient surgery with a local anesthetic. He removed tissue and while I remained in office checked it to see if any cancer remaineShow mored. Some did, so I underwent a second procedure that got the last bit of it. He sewed me up with 23 stitches and I went home. The bandage is very noticeable and people ask me if I had surgery for skin cancer and if I'd gone to Idaho Skin Institute. After my two yeses, I received unsolicited endorsements of Dr. Stoddard, of how they or a friend had similar surgery and how well it turned out. I already had confidence I was in skilled and experienced hands and I also have confidence I will have a good outcome.
Receptionists were so welcoming and helpful. The back office nurses were just awesome… Helpful, great at assisting and very very competent.Dr Stoddard was so kind he listened and was great at his abilities. I would dare say he rigShow moreht up there with Utah University and Mayo Clinic.. He has amazing skills and the most wonderful bedside manner…Thank you for all the time and skills needed for Doug.. A special shout out to our nurse who stayed with us when ever we needed.. Supplied warm blankets to Doug and could answer all our questions and gave must needed visits to just laugh or listen .. Thank you ,you are so delightful..I wish I could remember her name but I can’t…
Earl Stoddard, MD, FAAD, FACMS, is the medical director and on-staff Mohs surgeon at Idaho Skin Institute in Chubbuck, Idaho.
Dr. Stoddard completed his dermatology residency at the nationally acclaimed Duke University Medical Center. After finishing residency, he completed an additional one-year comprehensive Mohs surgery fellowship focusing on the most advanced techniques for skin cancer removal. After his training, Dr. Stoddard returned to Pocatello, his home, to practice surgical, medical, and cosmetic dermatology.
Dr. Stoddard is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, a fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery, and a member of the American Society of Dermatological Surgery. He graduated from the University of Washington Medical School with high honors and is a member of the medical honor society Alpha Omega Alpha.
Dr. Stoddard and his staff at the Idaho Skin Institute are the area's only dermatology office to offer photodynamic therapy for the treatment of pre-cancerous conditions and narrow-band UVB therapy for the treatment of psoriasis and eczema. Dr. Stoddard is committed to providing his patients with the highest quality of care in a comfortable and caring environment.
Dr. Stoddard is one of only six fellowship-trained Mohs surgeons in the state of Idaho and the only fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon in Pocatello. He has helped perform over 6,000 Mohs surgery cases.

Dr. Stoddard removed a basal cell carcinoma from my ear (MOHS). I’ve had several done in the past so I’m pretty familiar with the procedure. The procedure was painless, the Dr. and staff were very informative, and the facility (for the wait while the lab work is done) was very comfortable. Thank you to everyone that works at Idaho Skin Institute. Sad to say, I’ll probably see you again, but at least I know I’m in great hands

The team makes you feel like family! They keep you informed of what to expect and what every process to expect. When treatment is completed you are given a call back on your comfort the day of treatment, as well as a call the next day.
My experience was absolutely top notch. Dr Stoddard is the best and provides the patient with exceptional quality care. I have had nothing but 5 star care for every thing he has done for me.

Dr. Stoddard and his nurse treated treated me great! I would recommend them to anyone.
Efficient and thorough
My favorite part was the nice warm blanket, which I needed! In addition, the staff is lovely and helpful. But the best part of all were the cookies you always make available.

Everyone is very compassionate and helpful.
The scheduling staff was very accommodating in getting me in for an appointment when I was delayed in Idaho Falls and was late for my scheduled time. Dr. Stoddard did a great job!
The worst part was the numbing I didn't feel anything after everything was numbed i have had a lot of pain since then but I expected that because I had my eye cut open but hopefully it will ease up soon
