About Elba Soza-Ciprian

As a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, I believe that every individual deserves to be seen, heard, and supported in their unique mental health journey. My approach to care is grounded in empathy, trust, and collaboration, with an emphasis on treating the whole person — not just the diagnosis.

My goal is to create a safe and supportive environment where patients feel empowered to participate actively in their healing. I strive to understand each patient’s personal story, background, and experiences to develop personalized treatment plans that promote balance, resilience, and long-term well-being.

My clinical experience spans a diverse range of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, PTSD, insomnia, and mood-related disorders. I also have a special interest in women’s mental health, with a focus on perinatal and postpartum care, as well as the emotional impact of life transitions.

My treatment philosophy integrates psychotherapy, medication management, and holistic lifestyle recommendations such as mindfulness, nutrition, and stress-reduction techniques. I believe the most effective care happens when compassion meets evidence-based medicine, allowing patients to achieve both stability and growth.

Outside of my professional practice, I enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends, traveling, and exploring ways to nurture both mind and body. I am passionate about continuous learning and staying current with emerging research in psychiatry to ensure my patients receive the highest standard of care.

I believe healing is a deeply personal journey — one that takes patience, honesty, and compassion. It is not about perfection but about progress, self-awareness, and learning to extend the same kindness to yourself that you would to others.
