About Eliza Rivera-Mitu

Eliza Rivera-Mitu is a Board-Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC), Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C), and Advanced Diabetes Manager (BC-ADM). She has been a Nurse Practitioner since 2013 and an RN since 1993, with experience in psychiatry, primary care, addiction, hospice, cardiology, pediatrics, and chronic disease management. Eliza is ANCC-certified in psychiatry through UC Davis, with hands-on training at Exodus Recovery in South LA, Healthcare in Action's street medicine teams, and UC-LEND (University of California Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities), a UCLA-UCR program focused on autism. She holds degrees in Nursing, Nursing Administration, and post-master’s certifications in Family and Psychiatric-Mental Health specialties. Eliza teaches in nursing and NP programs, and is also a worship leader, wife, and mother of three (plus two dogs). She is fluent in Tagalog and speaks conversational medical Spanish.
