Elizabeth Terilli

My personal philosophy behind counseling is that the client holds all the knowledge and answers to success and fulfillment in life. I emphasize client autonomy and guide clients through the counseling journey as we focus on areas such as identity development, work-life balance and interpersonal issues. Through trauma-informed, person-centered, and integrative techniques, I help clients process emotions surrounding difficult and adverse experiences they may have endured in their life. I emphasize that feelings and emotions are a normal and essential part of the therapeutic process in order to understand more about ourselves, make meaning of life situations and choices, and understand the ways in which our mind and body work together. The therapeutic atmosphere that I provide is gentle, collaborative, reassuring, validating, affirming, and unique to each client.
