She is very knowledgeable about so many of the different Auto immune Diseases I have ( and I have a lot) she explains to me what they do to my body how the medications I have been Show moreprescribed by other Specialists affect and help me in a way I understand and truthfully I feel she knows and understands my conditions better than my Primary Care Physician. I have full confidence in Dr. Wickershams decision to entrust his patients under RN Ellen’s care on visits I don’t see him directly for. Many people in my family and my Son in laws family (and my Son in law is a physician) are under Dr.Wickersham/Nurse Ellen’s care & they are both always there for us 24X7!

About Ellen Lima Lonsdale, APRN
Ellen Lima Lonsdale, APRN is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Ellen is originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, but has made Texas her home since 2008. Ellen speaks English, Portuguese, and Spanish. Ellen received a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton. After working in the Information Systems field for years, she had a calling to become a nurse so she earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, a Master’s degree in Nursing Informatics, and a post-graduate degree in Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. Ellen has worked in the hospice and palliative care field as a nurse and a nurse practitioner for 15 years. She decided to join the team at Arthritis Associates after having a family member diagnosed with an autoimmune disease. Ellen gets to know her patients and ensures that each patient receives excellent individualized care that focuses on patient’s unique symptoms, medical history, and personal preferences. Ellen believes that patient participation is paramount in building an effective plan of care, thus she will take her time explaining each disease process, symptoms, and all treatments available, and with patient’s input, will build a plan of care that is tailored to each patient’s needs. In her free time, Ellen enjoys spending time with her family and kids, three young boys that can be very loud and rambunctious. She loves to go for long walks with family and her two dogs, watch movies, and find fun dessert places in San Antonio.

Both Dr Wickersham and PA Lonsdale are very knowledgeable and informative. I described my current symptoms to them and they immediately suspected lupus. They ran all the test and sure enough I have Lupus, Sjorgens and no IgAs. Not wonderful for having that diagnosis but finally a diagnosis that answers why I have these weird symptoms that other doctors were just shrugging their shoulders to.
She was very thorough.

Dr.Molina will be dearly missed. He is truly one of a kind exceptional in every way. His replacement Dr. Beras Matos- I feel I just dodge a bullet and was able to cancel my appointment with him and schedule my appointment with someone else. I have high disturbing concerns regarding this new Dr. Beras Matos.
Visit is a 10, my doctor is very knowledgeable and professional. He is always on top of your medications and symptoms. Would not trade him for any other doctor. My Super Hero!!!
