I cold called the office at 2:30pm on a Friday with urgent concerns about a sudden troubling change in vision. By 3:30 pm I was in the exam chair. After a thorough exam my issue was diagnosed by Dr. Salas as currently benign but nShow moreeeding followup. The willingness to accommodate a new patient at the last minute of the day/week, and the reassurance provided, was very much appreciated. The others in the office, from the receptionist to the medical assistant who did my intake and testing, were all very kind, thorough, and accommodating as well.
Dr Salas was very professional without being “stuffy”. His exam was very thorough and he explained my situation completely. His staff were very nice and friendly. Elvis Salas, DMSc, PA-C, is a certified physician assistant at Maryland Vision Center in Frederick, Maryland. He provides exceptional eye care to patients in the Baltimore area.
Dr. Salas is licensed to practice medicine by the state boards of Maryland and Pennsylvania. He completed his medical training at Pennsylvania College of Technology before pursuing his Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Touro College. Dr. Salas then completed his Doctorate of Medical Science degree at the University of Lynchburg, where he studied executive leadership, healthcare law, global health, and research applications. Dr. Salas is a fellow of the American Association of Physician Assistants.
Dedicated to providing patient-centered care, Dr. Salas believes in building a rapport with patients so they feel supported. His goal is to educate patients, so they thoroughly understand their treatment. He wants them to feel confident to ask questions and share any concerns they might have.

Dr Salas is very knowledgable and professional in his approach to my condition. He addresses all of my questions in detail and invites me to reach out if I have any further questions or issues.
All visits and staff were excellent the 2 offices and the fact that I had multiple visits during my 2 cataract surgeries in one office or the other was challenging for this 82 year old lady. The 2 doctors that jointly took care of me did a great job, however. Thank you
