I have had an excellent experience in this practice as a whole. From the receptionist, to the assistant, to the doctor, every person provided me with a professional yet warm care. I really needed that since I have come from anotheShow morer practice where I didn’t get my needs and questions met. Here, everyone took the time to educate me on my situation and the things that I could do on my side to help and the things the professionals will do to help me. Elvis Salas, DMSc, PA-C, is a certified physician assistant at Maryland Vision Center in Frederick, Maryland. He provides exceptional eye care to patients in the Baltimore area.
Dr. Salas is licensed to practice medicine by the state boards of Maryland and Pennsylvania. He completed his medical training at Pennsylvania College of Technology before pursuing his Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Touro College. Dr. Salas then completed his Doctorate of Medical Science degree at the University of Lynchburg, where he studied executive leadership, healthcare law, global health, and research applications. Dr. Salas is a fellow of the American Association of Physician Assistants.
Dedicated to providing patient-centered care, Dr. Salas believes in building a rapport with patients so they feel supported. His goal is to educate patients, so they thoroughly understand their treatment. He wants them to feel confident to ask questions and share any concerns they might have.

Very pleased with Dr Salas, very kind and didn’t try to push a prescription on me for dry eyes, but was perfectly fine with me continuing with an over the counter one. I also am very pleased with his staff and the cleanliness of the office.
I was able to get an appointment on the same day I called. The staff was efficient and friendly. The PA examined my eyes and thoroughly explained what was happening to my eyes. I felt safe and reassured that I was in good hands.

Professional, friendly front desk and nursing staff. Dr. Sala was knowledgeable and friendly. He took time to do a thorough exam and to answer my questions. A big plus was the online patient portal which streamlined my new patient paperwork. I would highly recommend this practice to others.
